Initially, at time of handover of the apartment to you, you should have 2 sets of access cards made available to you by the landlord. Any loss, damage is to the account of the tenant.

I had to pay a 200 deposit for our cards. Refunded to us when we leave.

For those of you who live in apartments or places which require access cards, just wanted to know are they the landlord or the tenants responsibility to fix/replace? to fix - ie snapped in half cause its been sat on - tenant to replace if lost - tenant to repair through having gone through a tumble dryer - etc - tenant to give you the access card in the first place - landlord

Where I am we have to buy the access cards, and they're our responsibility. Also if we lose them its our responsibility. (tenant by the way)
