We have a lemon tree and its grows really well and produces lots of small lemons. I think the gardener chap bought it at the garden center by the sewage works.

My lemon tree is doing much better now I surrounded its little garden with green garden mesh (originally to stop my chickens from nibbling on it). The harsh summer summer can be too much for them, but overall, it is doing well.

you can buy lemon trees (lots of citrus actually) from most garden centres. we have a lovely lime tree and it produces lots of (albeit small) limes!

I have just recently germinated 2 lemon seeds and have 2 young plants growing. Took about a month and half to germinate but not they are about 3 inches tall. I used store bought lemons and seems it will take a good 3 to 5 years to grow full but all worth it :)

We bought lime tree from fujairah over three yrs ago...and it's doign well....though I cover it with garden cover during peak of summer for constant shade or else the leaves burn and shrivel. I tried a coconut tree for my gardern few years back but it just didnt survive the summer onslaught..even though we kept it super hydrated....
