My days are filled with empty coffee drinking though I love the company! I need to give of myself to a charity organisation or any place else worthy or I will feel as if I have wasted my time in Dubai.I have no children here and hubby is away from early to late...the loneliness is driving me crazy! You can only attend so many coffee mornings,walk malls and shop!!Please advise!

I used to actively volunteer with Senses Center at Jumeirah once a week. If you like autisitic causes , drive up to the center and register your self as a volunteer. They however like people who can remain committed, because once a child gets attached to you............ I stopped my regular visits, cos a particular boy i really liked, left the center. I also volunteer with Dubai Cares once in a while. These two are active and will keep you busy

I read yesterday that Rashid hospital was looking for volunteers. It was in the elevator at the DIFC so I'm afraid I didn't actually see any more information. I tried UAE volunteer and have never ever been contacted.

check out volunteer in uae. they do all sorts of volunteer work all over UAE. check their website to get an idea. www.volunteerinuae.com I would recoomend not. They use to be good few years ago. Has anything changed ? A few years ago, we were at a house with animals and most of the helpers called in were virtually thrown out. Took over and ordered everyone around. The worst, was a screaming match in the Middle of a street with a leading animal charity trying to save two animals in horrible conditions.
