Hi Ladies, I've just moved to Dubai this week and currently looking for 2 bed villas up to 130,000AED. It seems we can only afford the Springs but there are so many it gets a bit confusing. I would really love to know which are the best to live in. It's just for myself, husband and newborn daughter. Any info regarding if it has a pool, gym, parks, distance to shops and other info would be so helpful. If you live in the Springs, please share your experience. Also, if there are any other areas that would work, please let me know.

I would really appreciate any info as we have started viewing and not sure which ones to prioritise.

Thanks so much ladies, this forum has been so helpful so far

Springs 11 seems to make sense and sounds good to me, now I just need to find a suitable type 4e for 120,000 or less, lol. Good idea about renting a villa in springs, unfortunately we are already in a hotel apartment and have paid until September with no refunds. I definitely want to be close to the pool, so i guess 3,8 & 9 are out of the running. I was actually told that 1&2 are of a better quality thus the higher prices, or maybe due to the proximity to the shops, however Im not keen on the mosque noise. I guess I will just hold out for the right one in 11, I also heard 14 is good too. Hopefully the prices won't keep rising, demand seems to be high in that area.

I am in springs 12. There is a nice pool and park. It's quite far from the shops but this suits me as any closer and the mosque wakes me up in the morning at 5am. Good point re the mosque noise. Do you think it's not worth being picky about which springs we rent in, as long as we find a villa we are happy with? You are right to be picky, especially with a newborn daughter you want a good one that's quiet! You have to be happy living there remember. It's a lovely community to live in, but definitely be picky! X edited by Simpsons on 14/08/2013

Does anyone know about buses in Springs - where they stop, where they go to? Thanks

Hi, of all the Springs, 11 is probably the best all rounder. 2 pools and parks, a lovely big lake, walk-able to Spinneys around said lake. Mosque noise is minimal, worst noise in 14, 1/2 and 3 (if you are near Spinneys end). I really liked living there, good luck! P.s Springs 12 is near the pylons which put me off. 8 and 9 are central, (watch out for ones backing onto road as a bit noisier) but have no pool as far as I'm aware, however, you can use the pools in the surrounding springs/meadows if that helps? When ever family used to visit they would rent a villa from arabian escapes as they have villas in the springs, you could always do a short term rental to make sure you like it? edited by Simpsons on 14/08/2013

Thanks for the replies ladies, they have been really helpful. Springs 14 sounds good, and great that it has 2 pools and walking distance to Spinneys. At the moment we don't have a car and hubby would be taking a taxi to and from his office in Media City, do you think getting a taxi from there would be an issue? Thanks for the rundown LoopyLoo, it definitely would be good to be located near to one of the Spinneys and walking distance to a pool, I heard Springs 11 has 2 pools also. It's ridiculous how rents just shoot up like that. I know someone who lives in springs 1 4m for 99,000aed and we are struggling to find one in good condition for 120,000aed. We saw a really good 4m in springs9 for 120,000aed but we are trying to hold out for a 4e, but we must just take it because it has been well maintained. Any info about Springs 9? Thanks again Taxis are plentiful however if you hang around on the main road you would get one far quicker than calling one from the house

Hi there :) Springs 1 is near the small Spinneys (and Emirates International School/closer to SZR), Springs 2/3 are next to the big Spinneys (And Dubai British school - just for points of reference), and Springs 4/5/6 are on one side of the road. On the other side of the road going back down is Springs 7 (near Choitram), 8/9/10/11/12/14/15 (Springs 14 and 15 are over the footbridge from the Big Spinneys). So most are walking distance (in cooler months) to the shops. If this makes no sense, don't worry, it is confusing, but I found it really helpful looking at google earth to work out the location of each Springs and which have pools etc, as not all of them do but even if you don't have one in your Springs you're usually not far from one in a neighbouring Springs. I think all of them have little parks though which are ideal for your little one as they all usually are under shade. For 130,000aed you should be able to get a nice 2 bed for that. There's also a lovely and very helpful facebook group if you're on facebook called Meadows/Lakes/Springs community. Hope that helps!

Hi, I just moved from the Springs last week to JLT and I have been in Dubai for a year. No children, but husband. We lived in Springs 14, and my company paid for and sourced our villa, hence why we have moved as the rents went up and they wouldn't renew the lease! I really like Springs 14. Really close to the Town Centre with the big Spinneys, Tim Hortons, Fitness First etc. We could walk when cooler, across the foot bridge. The pool was a 30 second stroll from our villa, and there is a 2nd pool in 14 too. We have a dog and were in easy walking distance of the really big laked between Springs 14, 13 and 15, and the other big lake which runs between Springs and Meadows 9. The only downside is that it is further away from Sheikh Zayed Road and you have to either go through all the traffic lights or all the speed bumps to get there. But it would probably only be an extra 5 mins compared to the ones at the edge. Hope that helps a little.
