Hi there. Am planning a trip there. Have searched previous posts and found the following directions from 2009. Can anyone please confirm if these directions are still current? Also where Pinky's is located too? Thanks a lot.

Take Emirates road towards Sharjah. Wait until you see a sign for Industrial Areas 15/17 and be prepared to take the exit after that. In case you don't see the National Paints sign in the distance, the exit is for road S112, and the roundabout is under the flyover. (Just at the start of this exit is a cafe called Emirates Flower).
Go left at this roundabout on road S112 and up to the next roundabout, and do another left. Then go all the way to the end of that road and do a Uey, and then take the first right. Lucky's is on the left hand side.

Does anyone know how much approximately a large wooden chest would be from Luckys or Pinkys? I was given some money from a family member as a gift to buy something to remind us of our time here - I know they are not locally crafted but it would still be something I bought here and would rather get it from one of these individual places than from Marina etc. But before I trek down there it would be good to get an idea as to whether the money I have would cover a piece of furniture or nowhere near. Thanks :)

I have bought furniture from both Marina and Pinky's, and have been disappointed the last few times I have been out to the Sharjah warehouse, as Pinky's seem to have the same old stock, no new stuff in for ages. I found Heritage Touch on Al Quoz very reasonable with a good choice of stock and they are very helpful and will make furniture to your requirements. There is a showroom opposite the Subaru Garage on Street 4, and a bigger warehouse further down the same street. Well worth a visit imho.

We have been regular customers at Luckys for the past 10 years. I am surprised to hear about their after sale service. I have always had a good experience at luckys. In fact a piece I bought from them some 5 years back needed polishing and they did it for me at a small charge (who does that here after 5 years??). They have a good variety and their prices are also very reasonable (compared to marinas). It is best if you call them for directions before visting. Lucky's number are 050-6327051 & 050-6328750. Hope this helps :)

The directions are correct but a warning about Lucky's. Their after sales service is non existent. We bought a chest of drawers from there and every drawer expanded when it got home, so much that none of them would shut at all. Called them numerous times, even offered to go pick up and dropp off their carpenters, but had no response whatsoever. Ultimately got building maintenance to do repair for us. We have bought numerous pieces from Lucky's and only one has needed attention after sale and it was fixed without problem. Best to go in if no response to phone calls. They charge a fraction of Marina's prices. It certainly is an experience rummaging through the huge dusty, dirty warehouses, but once things are cleaned up, stained and polished they look grand. In my experience, Lucky's is cheaper than Pinkys and a much better range. Pinky's is also hard to find.

We have bought many pieces from all 3 (luckys, pinkys and marina) over the last decade and have had good and bad pieces from all. One expensive set of drawers from marina just kept expanding, despite numerous attempts to shave back drawers. They all have unique pieces and we love fossicking around luckys.

To be fair though, their prices are so reasonable when you compare to places like Marina.... they will fumigate for you and stain to a colour you want as well ( at least they used to). Best to go with other people as it is more a warehouse in an industrial area than a shop. Lots to see.

Directions to Pinky's - Directions are similar till you get to the 2nd roundabout. While a left at this will take you to Lucky's, keep going straight ( stay in the left lane) till the next signal. Take a left at the signal and keep going till you pass Skyline college on your right. Take the next u-turn after that and come back. Now approximately opposite to skyline college, there will be a Cooperative Tyre Trading on the right. Take the exit right before this. At the Junction after, take a left ( it's unpaved, unlit road now) and then take the first right. Pinky's is on your right further down the lane. Easier than above directions - Take the Airport Tunnel, and keep going straight towards sharjah. You will be on Beirut street. Keep going straight, will pass quite a few signals, till a bridge passes overhead. Take the second exit after the bridge , take a left and then a right to get to Pinky's. The road is unpaved and not lit. To get to Lucky's, get back to the road you were on ( Beirut street), follow road til next signal, take right, keep going till you get to roundabout and take right here. Go to the end of the street, uturn and first right. Lucky's is on the left. Pinky's is more organised and has more painted furniture, more cupboards, etc than Luckys. Luckys has the heavier, more metal worked furniture.

I found one or the other (maybe both?) on google maps before i went. Having a vague idea of the area google maps really helped.

Thanks Bellaroonie. Have been to Pinkys behind MOE, quite limited range so would like to visit their Sharjah warehouse. Is Luckys nearby to Pinkys in Sharjah? Had a look at Luckys website - are their furniture similar to Pinkys (or not)? Would like to see as many furniture places as possible on the trip. Are there any other furniture shops we should see? Thanks a lot!
