So I have a tiny maids room, so I wonder how you ladies manage when the maids room is small?. It barely fits a small bed and maybe a small drawer. Is she supposed to look at the ceiling once her duties are over?. There is not connection for TV or anything?. Is a drawer enough for her belongings?. I have never had a maid before so I wonder.

I had an interesting experience with offering a good size free bedroom downstairs to one of the maids that came over for an interview, she asked with desperation "do you not have a maids room maa'am" I said yes but its too small and i thought to offer you better living circumstances. "But its too big," she says "I want a normal size room". :\: Classic! Reminds me of the film Crocodile Dundee - when he arrives in a 5 Star New York Hotel he sleeps on his swag on the floor!! Haha I agree :) SD youre my new friend here, in my reply to you in another thred here I was rather frank, but couldnt help as I hope you get your back straight and your concience clear with the well being of your maid! Lots of success with this, its always winning battles to win the war...

Can I ask how small is small? We have a small room, no bathroom attached, I am wondering if this is meant to be a nanny's room? We have just found out we are pregnant with our third and I feel that I will need some help particularly when the baby is born. I am debating whether to hire a live-out nanny or if this small room is in fact meant to be a nanny room. How much would we pay for a live-out nanny? if live out then you should pay towards her accomodation. personally I wouldnt put the maid in a room with no bathroom, its probably a storage room? but some houses are designed like that so maybe it is the maids room.... Is there a room with a shower for her to use near the room? If not then Id say its a no go.

most of the girls will be happy in a small room and glad to have their own bathroom. I was also very worried about the small room when my first maid started, but once she told me how she lived before she came to us I really wasnt that worried at all anymore, her maids room was great to her. Make sure its clean, extra storage (perhaps under bed) and a tv with a dvd player maybe? We had tv connection put in ourselves for all our different villas, its not that much to be honest 200- 500 dhs depending on the company.

I have a small maids room. I think it is small but I have seen smaller! She has a wardrobe and a single bed in there but not much else. If she wanted a TV I would have had to mount it on the wall. Luckily for me she opted for internet connection!
