Looks like the cabrio-fix to me. In which case definitely seen those covers in Bumble Bee.

Thanks ladies, your advice is truly much appreciated. Another question - instead of purchasing a new seat cover, is it easier just to purhcase a 'summer' cover that I keep reading about to cover the exisiting cover??

The lady's ad said they used the stroller (that I also purchased) along with the INFANT car seat. See the link below - http://dubai.dubizzle.com/classified/baby-items/strollers-car-seats/pram-strollers/2011/6/4/quinny-zapp-stroller-maxi-cosi-carseat-2/?back=Y2xhc3NpZmllZC9iYWJ5LWl0ZW1zL3N0cm9sbGVycy1jYXItc2VhdHMv&ps=2&added__gte=&is_search=1&age__lte=&price__gte=&places__id__in=Enter+Location%28s%29+Here&places__id__in=&condition__gte=&usage__lte=&keywords=quinny&is_basic_search_widget=0&price__lte= What do you think? Have I called the car seat the wrong name? It looks like an infant car seat (although I could be wrong as a first time mother). help!

To answer your original question (although I do agree whole-heartedly with the previous posters, I'd never buy a 2nd-hand car seat for any of my LO's and pls make sure you have a baby caspule suitable from birth for your newest little arrival - they will need to face backwards for at least 9-12 months and recline as much as possible.) you can try Bumblebee at Dubai Mall for new covers. Although perhaps places like Mothercare and Babyshop who actually sell them new may have stock of covers.

be very careful purchasing second hand car seats as you dont know if they have been in an accident etc. I second this. A car seat may be seriously compromised by even the smallest of accidents including dropping, not even necessarily a car accident. Be sure of the history before you put your precious cargo inside.

Priori isn't a suitable car seat for a newborn baby. Only for babies over 9kg (around 9-12months). For a newborn baby you need (in the maxi cosi range, there are a load of other makes of course), a Cabriofix, Pebble or Opal. But I'm sure you already know that, so to answer your question, either the car seat cover can be removed and washed, or I have seen replacement covers in BumbleBee (not sure about the Priori, but certainly some car seat covers) or else contact MaxiCosi directly. I lost part of my Cabriofix last year and they were fantastic - posted me the replacement part free of charge!

I have just purchased a Maxi Cosi car seat (from Dubizzle) and would like to replace the car seat cover. Does anyone know where you purchase a new seat cover? The Maxi Cosi says its a 'Original Maxi Cosi' with brand name Priori. Does this mean anything to someone? I have no clue. Help appreciated for pregnant first Mum-to-be.
