Hello everyone,

We are for a venue to hold a mehndi/sangeet for around 250-300 people. Hotel venues are too expensive - starting at AED 150pp which is too much. Ideally want a decent looking venue. Please can you help?

Or has anyone done the same by hiring a tent?

Would really appreciate your feedback

Thanks once again

the cheapest venue in Dubai is India Club - but even they have a space limitation (unless you're ok with doing in on their court side - which is open air)... their buffet charges start at 50dhs per head for a proper indian or chinese menu and they also have the cheapest alcohol in town... unfortunately their largest ballroom has a max capacity of 150 guests so your only option for 300 guests would be their outdoor area... check with them... but note only a member can book the venue for you so hurry up and start calling your friends and someone should be able to find you a member there! :)

Ha ha :) Thanks ladies for the recommendation - unfortunately, i had no luck with the restaurant due to the capacity. Can anyone else please recommend any ideas for mehdni/sangeet venue please? We do not want to pay hotel prices and are looking at something around AED 50 per person all inclusive of buffet and soft drinks. We are willing to pay for alcohol on top. Any restaurants/venues that cater for these please?

Have you tried Al Marhabani? They do really good mandi and have a few locations across Dubai. The Jumeirah one will be too small but call them to find out about options. They might be able to help with finding a tent if needed, and they might even have it. http://www.almarhabani.com/jumaira/en/contact.php I loooooooooooooove their mandi! Lolz @ Mandi Hahahaha :lol::lol: Marrosh, mehndi/sangeet is a traditional function in Indian weddings, where brides family/friends sing songs/dance etc. Oh loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool see food is always on my mind!!!! You mean they do henna too?:lol: <em>edited by Marroosh on 21/11/2014</em>
