If you are looking for second hand. Cash converters on SZR is really handy. I love dubizzle and a bargain but trekking all over Dubai is hard going sometimes. We got our oven and a few other bits here, prices were pretty good and they arrange delievery. Lived in Exec towers for 2 years its lovely best of luck!!

Is a gas stove permitted? If so, where do we get the cylinder from? Gas stoves are not permitted in apartments. Sorry! It's worth surfing Dubizzle for a secondhand electric one.

Thank you ladies for the warm welcome! Our shipment has finally arrived so we will be moving tomorrow. I had a question about appliances. We are renting an apartment that does not have appliances and so far we've bought everything but the stove. Is a gas stove permitted? If so, where do we get the cylinder from? Many thanks again ! :)

Hi! Welcome to Executive Towers! We have a 13 month old baby girl so if you fancy a playdate on the podium let me know :) I am a working mum but have a nanny. I couldn't find a nursery which opened early enough for me. (I need to be in work at 7.15am). Littlewoods, Willow and Blossom were my top three in that order in terms of facilities, activities etc. Willow had a better baby ratio and better hours for me. Littlewoods was fab but much more expensive than others. Little Wonders was good too. Not as flash as the others but great opening hours, times and price and staff seemed lovely. I visited all when the children were there and there was a nice vibe in all. They are all in the Umm Sheif/Al Manara area so only about 10/15 minutes by car. Hope that helps!

Welcome to ET! I live in Tower J and have a 9 month old baby girl if you're ever interested in a play date. We got our kitchen appliances at Carrefor out at Mall of the Emirates - they deliver and assemble/install which is very handy and if you don't have a car it's a very easy trip on the Metro. Sorry cant help with nursery/day care, but I'm sure others will have suggestions - apparently there are heaps in Jumeirah. Again, welcome to ET - and I hope you're as happy here as we are!

Hello! We are moving to the Executive Towers next week (now are staying in a serviced apartment), and would appreciate any advice. Namely, where is the best place I can find kitchen appliances? Daycare/nursery recommendations in the area? We have a 1 year old baby girl. Thank you!!! :)
