My 2-yr old is terrified of the adult saloons. So, looking for a saloon which has kid's area or at least decorations attractive for kids.

Thanks a lot ladies. I'll try FT and see whether my kid approves it.

There is a really nice kids salon in the Aswaaq mall in Nad al Hamar for anyone who lives in that area. They even do blow dries for girls and it is much cheaper than going to a ladies salon!

Beach Centre (blue mall on Beach Rd) has a kids hair salon on the first floor. They have mini dvd players loaded with Tom and Jerry and nice decorations. The two hair stylists are really patient with my boys. Dhs 40 each.

We use FT too. They are ok. Just once we used the play area ones in Mirdif and I was devastated, my DD's hair was skew! I usually dont compromise on cost when it comes to hair lol. Takes ages to grow back and even longer when its a bad cut :(

My 2-yr old is terrified of the adult saloons. So, looking for a saloon which has kid's area or at least decorations attractive for kids. We used Favourite Things as well for our terrified toddler even though it was more expensive. Good haircut but the hairdresser couldn't be bothered to at least try calm the little one who started bawling once the robe was put on. I tried my best and eventually gave up after 15 mins. Thanks Jenc123 - going to try Fun City next.

J3 mall has kiddocuts, think it's 45 or 50dhs, they have cartoons on and toys... Cheeky monkeys in Al Barsha Mall has a children salon as part of their play group, similar price, they have little car chairs for the children to sit in whilst getting hair cut.

We used Favourite Things for a good while but found it too expensive. We now go to Fun City in Ibn Battuta and its half the price and has been cut really well in the two times we have been. The money we save means the little man can have some fun on the games too!
