Desperately would love to take the dogs for a swim, is there anywhere we can go? Will drive to RAK or Sharjah or pretty much anywhere...

We take our dog to UAQ near Barracuda and let her run off the lead near there, no sea at that part though -which is ok for our girl as she's scared of the sea anyway. Also means we get to do a booze run so two birds, one stone :)

When driving to Abu Dhabi it's just over the Abu Dhabi border. Thanks dogcatcher - I will definitely head out there.

Has anyone taken their dogs to Al Ghantoot recently? Our dog gets car sick so we don't want to make the journey if we can't let her off the leash once we get there..

Thank you for all the ideas - where is Al Ghantoot? We ended up driving to RAK and found an isolated area where they could all swim and play. Was too cute to watch :)

oh becareful with Jebal Ali hotel. There is a huge sign saying no dogs. That being said, I do see paw prints in the sand when I go there for golfing and have occasionaly swam my lot there

I would also say Ghantoot. Saying that I have seen a few dogs at the beach next to the Jebal Ali hotel, I dont think they are officially allowed there, but there are no signs saying otherwise. (Its very busy on weekends, so I would avoid it then)
