Hello all,

I cannot get mobile phone reception in my flat on either du or Etisalat. I live on SZR near Trade Center in an older building that must have been constructed of extraordinarily impenetrable materials. Can anyone suggest a way I can fix this problem? It's a huge problem and is causing me to miss important work phone calls and limit my conversations with friends.

Does Etisalat sell a device I can install in my flat that will improve the signal? A Femtocell? I need to have my regular GSM number work when I'm home, which is where I spend most of my time. I'm working from home now and have two small children, so I can't really just go somewhere else for a better signal.

Thanks for suggestions.

A friend lives in a tower at JLT, and she gets terrible reception. Can I ask what building your friend lives in? (Sorry to hijack the thread, but we're considering moving to JLT and want to know where I might have to deal with this problem so I can avoid it!) Cluster O, Madina. Please avoid the Armada's too ( Cluster P ), Maintenance useless and a/c just didnt work properly, and we lived in a brand new apartment. Pool is a shambles. Initially when we moved in, all seemed ok. Our LL kept our deposit too, and for no reason. O2 tower in Cluster O, is really nice thou.

A few options: Have your mobile calls forwarded to your landline. Move Encourage people to get in touch with you via email instead Contact Etisalat so at least they're aware of the problem
