Exile- do you remember how much you paid for your cosmelan peel? belle femme on jbr walk is charging 1,900 AED for face and neck and 800 for face, plus the cosmelan cream for 750. Was just wondering if cosmesurge is cheaper.

I was quite red after the treatment (like bad sunburn), it lasted for about 3 days. Only after the redness goes can you start using the nightly cream they give you. It was a little bit irritating at the beginning but fine afterwards. They also give you a moisturiser to use during the day. BTW my skin is so much softer - a pleasant side-effect!

The peel I had was called Cosmelan. I got this pigmentation after pregnancy and when I look back at photos it was very faint after I gave birth, less obvious than it is now actually. And I didn't protect my face from the sun and it kept getting darker and darker. The sun is the worst for pigmentation. so it's not just for after the treatment, it is for life, unfortunately. I dont have the number of the Dr on me, but will get it for you in the next day or so and put it on here for you. If I forget, remind me.

I had a peel done about 3 months ago and am very happy with it. I had very very dark pigmentation on my face - it looked like someone had dipped a paintbrush in brown pain and painted splotches on my forehead and I had dark freckles on my face. I had an initial peel and then they gave me cream to apply each night for the next 8-10 weeks. It has faded by about 80%. I was forewarned that mine could not be removed completely as it was very deep. The sun is our worst enemy. Once you've had it done you cannot, cannot, cannot have any exposure. Sun screen and a hat at all times when you're outdoors. It cost me under 3000DHS all up. I went to Dr Rana at Cosmesurge in Jumeirah. Thank you so much for your feedback.. the price is great, I already paid over $700 in creams and all, and also I went to Dr consultation in the US and myinsuarance paid too... I would love to do it, I have 2 spots that needs to be treated.. big spoltches under my eyes (more like the cheek bone).. u can never ever be under the sun for LIFE?? or only after the treatment? and how red were you after the treatment? also, do u have the Dr. phone number? and last but not least, do u know the name of the peel they did so I can research it? Thanks so much! edited by amalwaleed on 09/10/2011

I haven't done it yet, but I did see an esthetician at Belle Femme on JBR Walk as they do treatments there and so I had a consult. I think in a few weeks I will be going for my first session. Will let you know how it goes :)
