Hi there is another one a couple of streets behind the Lime Tree café in Jumeira 1. It's right next to the mosque near Iranian hospital, alongside Salmin dry cleaners and a grocery store. Actually on the same street at the Ballet Centre.
It's just a couple of mins walk from the Lime Tree :-)
I think it's called Ali Bin Juma Tailors and Embroidery and they are quite reasonable. The manager also speaks good English.

Hi … There is one at Jumeirah Beach road, just opposite Masion Chic. A small shop, they charged me 10 AED for alternation and they were good. Cant remember their shop name though. I found them much closer than going to Satwa.
Ok thanks ladies - was only looking for something closer to home and hence the Satwa / Jumeirah area. I have also heard it is quite difficult finding parking near dream girls in Bur Dubai. But will go it a go this week........ Thanks again.
Coventry is great, but in the past when they are super busy, they have advised me to take my alterations to Dream Girls Tailors, who charge the same prices but have a quicker turnaround simply because they employ more staff. I'm really happy with Dream Girls' work. So, don't worry if they direct you to Dream Girls :)
Hello ladies,
can anyone recommend a decent / reasonably cheap tailor for alterations in the Satwa / Jumeirah area?
I have heard of Coventry tailoring being good but does anyone know where they might be located in Satwa? (driving instructions possibly?)
Thanks!
i may well have recommended them! which area are you coming from? coventry is in an alleyway opposite satwa post office.
if you come down al wasl road towards the flagpole, turn right at iranian hospital.
this is 'plant street'
if you go all the way to the end, coventry is a two minute walk after turning left.
you can't turn left in a car though, so you'd have to try to park up on plant street.
