My sister and her husband are coming over from the UK, for their delayed 'honeymoon'...but they are staying with me, which obviously isn't very romantic. I want to book them a really romantic dinner somewhere that they will remember for years to come as they never got a honeymoon after the wedding. Can anyone recommend a restaurant for this (cliched, but possibly beach or if there are any other ideas am open...) PS not seafood

Villa Beach at JBH - right on the beach, with a magnificent view of the Burj. My sister-in-law got engaged there and the staff were fantastic, making sure that everything was special and romantic.

I was told the most romantic restaurant in Dubai is the one at the end of the Jetty at Al Qasr.

I love Euzone at Royal Mirage ask for outdoor seating and also at the Beach Bar and Grill (you can ask for a private table on the beach). Another new place is their sister hotel - the One and Only Palm - their restaurant "101" is stunning with beautiful views of the ocean and skyline (make sure you book for an outdoor table).

Pierchic is gorgeous! Went there the other night, and yes they do specialize in seafood, but their lamb was amazing!!! they have a few dishes on the menu to cater for the non seafood eaters!

Darn. Suggested Pierchic and then re-read your post: no seafood. ;) Pierchic DOES specialise in seafood, but they obviously have other lovely things on the menu so perhaps worth checking it out anyway, especially since it really is gorgeous and v.romantic, situated as it is out on the water, looking back towards the beach at Madinat Jumeirah. http://www.jumeirah.com/en/hotels-and-resorts/destinations/dubai/madinat-jumeirah/Restaurants--Nightlife/Signature-Dining/Pierchic/
