Can anyone point me in the direction of any second-hand car dealerships in Dubai with good reputations? We are looking to buy a second hand 4 x 4 that will seat 7.
Thanks in advance

MG I absolutely need tonnes of household stuff because we've brought nothing with us! If you have any kitchen utensils - cooking implements, mixing bowls, muffin tins I would be very interested. At the moment all I have is cutlery, crockery and basic glassware, a toaster, sandwich maker and microwave. Perhaps you could email your location, a list of what you want to get rid of and desired price? You are correct about the car. We were looking specifically for a LR 3 or 4. Good news you've found it easy to move yours on and thanks for the service tip - I will remind DH we need to stick with the dealership...they are the same in Australia. edited by Buy me a Pony on 09/11/2011

No problems BMAP- glad you got a car. We are getting a good price for ours and without the hassle having to sell privately so I am happy. It is a gold Range Rover Sport so perhaps not what you were after anyway. We are also selling lots of household stuff so do let me know if you still need anything.

Oh no! LOL MG we have just got home from buying one! Ended up getting brand new because they had no second hand and all the cars we found on dubizzle had done a huge amount of miles. Is it a LR you are selling? Ansd if so, what model? I only ask in case something falls through before it is delivered...the one we puchased was the last of its colour and literally 3 mins after we said we would buy it, we overheard someone else offering 10,000AED more for the exact same car! Until we have the keys, I am still worried, there "maybe a mistake" and we may not end up with it. Thanks for your offer though :-/ And if it is any consolation, the second hand dealer there told us that LR3s and LR4s were generally sold within 24 hours second hand. He had a wait list for them allegedly.

Hi BMAP, I am about to sell my 4x4 to the Al Futtaim Automall on SZR. They will only buy cars with full service records from licenced dealerships. If you are interested in the details of my car (I am selling this week), post your email address and I will send you the details directly. Cheers, MG PS. I think you know Scotch and Diet? She has my email address if you would prefer to contact me direct.

We bought our Pajero which seats 7 (I love it by the way) at 4x4 motors on SZR. They were fine and I'm happy with the car. We also bought a Jaguar from the Jaguar dealership in SZR...had a few issues with the car but the service was good. We used dealers becasue we'd just arrived and I thought it would make things easier (which it did) although I'd probably have a look at Dubizzle when we're due to replace them

We bought a pre-owned Ford Explorer (7 seats) direct from the Ford Dealership on Sheikh Zayed Road. They buy back used cars up to a few years old, so if you were looking for something still fairly new i would do this. We got full warranty and its agency maintained. From our research we found Ford had one of the best service coverage options out there.

Search the supermarket noticeboards - Park n"Shop on Al Wasl Road is one of the best, also look on Dubizzle. Al Futaim (Toyota) have a second hand showroom on the SZR as do Al Tayer the Ford/Land Rover dealership, also on SZR just after Times Square.
