I didn't breast feed either of my kids for more than a week due to latching issues but I've lost everything part from the Kangaroo pouch and my daughter is just turning 6months old. I could have probably lost it all a lot quicker but I've been comfort eating so much junk food due to personal issues (mainly chocolate, ice cream and doughnutts!) and have only attended the gym 10 times in 2months (hides in shame). I kept quite active durig the whole of my pregnancies, it helped when I had my daughter that I'd take my son out and have to constantly go up and down stairs to get stuff for him, put him for naps etc so got exercise without really thinking about it. Pushing a pram around town 2-3 times a week does wonders! Pretty much all I did was walking a lot (mainly around town) and then once I had the baby pushing the pram to baby groups and again, around town loaded down with bags of shopping. I joined the gym when she was 6/7weeks old, I'd already lost most of the weight but wanted to fix my tummy muscles that were just completely jelly like and lose a few more inches off my hips. Like I said, I've only been 10 times due to one thing and another and I'm a size 10 which is the same as before I had my daughter. I do still have some loose skin on my tummy but you can't tell if I wear control pants and actually if I did some stomach crunches etc it should tighten up pretty quickly. At the end of the day...I have to resign myself to the fact that very few women get a perfectly flat tummy after childbirth without cosmetic help. I had my son at 21yrs old and prior to that I was a size 8 on top and 8-10 on the bottom. After I had him my hips have stayed broader but I'm still an 8-10 on top (dependant on style) and a 10 on the bottom.....so not bad really =)

I breastfed DS until he was 8 months and lost all my baby weight except maybe 4 or 5 kilos in this time. Then I put more on when I stopped :(. When I got pregnant this time, I was almost 18 kilos heavier than when I got here! Sob, sob... I totally plan to BF this one too but I will be a lot more sensible with my diet when I stop!

DC - Breastfeed ...... its like a wonder slimming drug! Before I got pregnant I needed to lose around 12 kg......then put on around 18 kg during the pregnancy - but after giving birth within a few weeks i could fit into clothes I had from my modelling days ! And this without excercise or time to prepare healthy meals feeding my LO was difficult at first cos he had some issues which meant nipple sheilds etc, and the contractions i expierienced during feedings was really painful ......but i hung in there telling myself .....the gym would be more painful and i couldnt cuddle my baby whilst doing it. When he was 5.5 months we went home where everybody noticed my massive weightloss - and really the only thing i did was bf !!! so baby got the best nutrition possible I hopefully can one day wear the yummy mummy title proudly!

Dubaicat if it helps I'm in the same boat, DD2 is now 7 weeks old and I really don't have an excuse any more. I'm looking to shed ALOT of weight(does not help I'm going to a wedding in Aug in the UK!!!!!) Cant let friends and family see me looking like this! SO when the going gets tuff, just know that there is someone else near enough killing themselves to get that illusive pre pre pre baby body back!! Good luck and keep posting to let me know how you doing, at least we can motivate each other!!!!

Thanks to some complications I have been banned from exercise during this pregnancy. I am now feeling like a fat, unattractive heifer again and only the thought of losing shedloads of blubber post-birth is keeping me sane. I recently found some old photos of me when I first got here and the difference is staggering, and made me cry. I had one **** of a figure then - if I do say so myself :D - and now I look horrible. So, once I've popped the baby out, I'll need to lose whatever baby weight I packed on plus around 17kgs. How long should this take me? And can I please have some success stories to keep me going over the next four months? I'm hoping to start back on the Shred six weeks post-delivery and either keep going with low-GI or try Slimming World.
