Hi

Having a clearout and we have a lot of books many of which are well known authors. Any ideas of anywhere who may buy these off us?

Thanks

I recommend Shirley as well. About a month ago I gave her books and I saw her efforts. She is a one woman (with the help of her hubby) show, does all the work and she is all heart. She recently distributed 250 bags to labours and is putting together Christmas bags.

Contact Shirley at [email protected] she is an English lady who collects books and resells them. The money she makes she uses to buy things to make up gift parcels for the labourers. She is busy putting together Ramadan parcels and distributing them this month. She will then start on her drive for Christmas parcels see 7 days article http://www.7days.ae/article/news/national/labourers-bag-some-help

There are drop off points at the BurJuman for secondhand books...can't quite remember where but the info desk people should be able to help. ;)

I tried to give some books for House of Prose and they wouldn't take them. FF or K9 will or the library at MOE. I also read somewhere that Bur Juman will be having another "pink" book sale soon with proceeds going to a breast cancer charity. Occasionally, Medicin sans frontier do book sales for their causes and want donations. They have an office in Dubai (used to be in Satwa) where I dropped off books before.
