Hey, looking for a nice sfoof recipe pls! It's this Lebanese cake made with turmeric and the cake pan is greased with tahina. I have MIL's recipe but it makes a HUGE amount and the measurements are based on cream cheese spread jars. DH doesnt like that cream cheese spread so I don't normally buy. But he is craving his mom's cake. Pls help!

I can confirm that Lifco have a huge selection of semolina. The one packaged by Lifco is called 'normal' semolina, but it is obviously much finer ground than any other brands on their shelves. They were in bags so I was able to feel it.

i'm pretty sure i saw it in Waitrose. If you can only get the course grain - you should be able to make it finer in your food processor.

Hi CrashingWaves, haven't made the cake yet as I've been searching the supermarkets for ferkha, the fine semolina flour! I've looked in Aswaaq Nad al Hamar and Union Coop nr Safa Park. Anywhere else I should look?
