What about driving breaks. Jordan sounds lovely but is that really a break with 3 kids?? (not that much is!) Someone suggested Bab Al Shams but is that a 4-day place or a 1-day place? Also had tips on the Hilton and Muscat...anyone been to a nice resorty type place in Muscat that won't break the budget?

I am also looking for a short break (about 4 days) around 26 onwards, but I'll be alone. I'm thinking of either Egypt, Turkey, Lebanon, Nepal or Jordan. For you, I would suggest Muscat? Or anywhere in Oman.

We have no family or events booked for 3 weeks after the kids are out of school at Christmas break. We thought a short break over the actual Xmas days (24-26) would be nice. Does anyone have any fun ideas of places that are not too far away for a 3 day break? We have 3 kids under 7 so it would have to be very family friendly.... Thanks in advance! :)
