Hi sadubai,
sorry - don't have any answers for you, thing is we are also moving to Dubai in January and thinking about a villa in same area(s); it sounds from your post like you were able to locate some compounds with toddler facilities there - if so, would you mind sharing which ones are those? TIA!
Someone from my company rented one this last summer and I looked round, they are lovely and very spacious - really decent kitchen too. The gardens are a good size too - certainly a great option and a convenient location too.
Thanks Cornish Pixie for your reply. Sorry, that should read DH's family. This is what comes of typing with one hand while trying to keep DS off the keyboard with the other!:) We've already contacted DRE about Sheikh Ahmed which may be the one opp Park n Shop? I was also hoping for feedback from people who may be living in one. We are considering the two-storey and the guest room on the lower floor does make it workable. We are apartment folks and so prefer one-storey ourselves but will have to see what we get...
DH's husband.......???
There are numerous single storey villas about, contact DRE (Dubai Real Estate and if you contact them direct there are no agents fees to pay Tel 04 345 1111)- they have the single storey villas opposite Park n'Shop and more called Palma Spring (I think) behind Wellington International School - however I think all of these have a maximum of 4 bedrooms.
Many 2 storey villas have a bedroom downstairs with a full bathroom, often families who have regular visits from elderly relatives opt for one of these.
We're moving to Dubai year-end and after a brief trip last month we have decided a compound villa in Jumeirah or Umm Suqeim with some facilities for our toddler will work best for us. We'd like 4 or 5 bedrooms. Now for the challenge - ideally we'd like all on one floor as my DH's husband who stays often is not good with stairs. I understand Sheikh Ahmed villas have some single floor. Can anyone reco any other compounds we can focus on? Thanks in advance - I hope someone can help!
