I needed curtains too for our new place and this is my feedback - I tried to contact Rafi but his phone seemed to have an international ring tone to it.. probably not in town. Jamal from Golden Scissors had a wierd tone to the phone.. did not even ring and no one answered the shop line. Shalini from Design Space - was super efficent even after work hours and very polite. Spoke excellent English and promptly sent me information on an email. Will be meeting her today... so will revert with more feedback on it. But seems very professional

I just this week had curtains installed by BlueBird in Karama. Justin came straight away when I rang him to do a quote last Thursday, and all the curtains in our big villa were hung by Monday !!!! He was really reasonable and supervised the work the whole time the curtains were being hung. I really recommend him - his number is 04 397 7852 or email bluefly at emirates dot net dot ae. As an indictation we had curtains made in 6 big rooms and it came to 5k, which I thought was very reasonable, and they are impeccable, don't know how they turn them around so fast !!!! Our villa is a rental, so I didn't spend top dollar on expensive fabrics ..........

We have used Rafi on lots of occasions for supplying new curtains and, when we have moved, for altering ones he has made previously. His English isn't very good, you just have to be patient. Make sure he brings the books that have the type of fabrics you want and don't accept his first price ! <em>edited by amelia on 01/11/2011</em>

i have recommended jamal from golden scissors before - have used him many times over the last 3 years as have all my friends. he is great. he may be on hols at the moment but worth trying him - 050 588 2773.
