why is everyone so anti ?? i think she talks a lot of sense - apart from the cooking in underwear all the other "tips" are sensible..and a man who's feeling neglected or unloved IS more likely to look elsewhere imo. I can speak for myself: I do not like tricks and "artificial behaviours" in relationships, as a general rule. You know, the kind of things like should I not call him, should I date him five times before kissing, etc. I left these things behind after teenagehood... even if I agree that for some people sometimes they work, I hope the people we relate to deserve better than these manipulations, as innocent as they might be. Yes......tricks is the right word...........and we all know the profession which "turns tricks". Were I a man i would find this article insulting...............and can you imagine the howls of outrage from the Sisterhood, if a male journo wrote a similarly patronising piece..........."How to keep the silly little woman happy"? Still, she did catch everyone's attention!!

I don't think it's artificial behaviours- it's ways to demonstrate trust... Besides, what's wrong with a little fun?

Isn't it faster to add some bromide to that odd looking cake in the picture?

The way I see it, marriage is a two way street. I put in the effort, but he has to as well. It is not all about women pleasing men, men also have to please women. In some of our situations some things cannot be done. Cooking near naked? Not in my house. I have 2 children, my mom and a housemaid. It is just not going to work. I do not mind wife taking care of her husband, being sweet to him and giving him whatever he wants, however, a husband has to also provide the same for his wife.

If you want an easy life I don't think she is far off the boil- men are like kids- if they get what they want they are happy. If you want an happy easy life give them what they want. But like spoilt kids its teaching them that the world doesn't evolve around them.

...and it works both ways....Yep, nothing appealing about watching DH fall asleep on sofa right after we've turned off the football match and sat down to "watch dvd together once the kids are asleep" every night...

Apart from naked cooking I think she's pretty spot on and judging by the comments underneath, most men agree with her!

Oh, thank you the last posters...I thought I was the only one thinking that she made some points here... Ok, she is very direct and has provocative ideas, but the thought here is that a man would prefer a lively, interesting and happy woman when he is back home, with some nice meal, than a witch b'tching on everybody around and complaining about her life.... As per as the lingerie dinner, well, it's an example. Indeed, she obviously doesn't have children. Yet, The idea is to keep the spice in the couple and take some time to each other....and it works both ways....

I do think she has a few valid points such as nagging and chasing up with texts etc, but cooking in lingerie? ROFL! The kids would love that! As would the neighbours.

On the contrary, I think she is right..... Flip it around- wouldn't we women like that from a man?
