Does anyone know of anything that my 15 year old son can do with people in his age group.
He has to wait for school to start in September and we are out from Australia six
weeks ago and moved into the Marina area. He is going crazy at home waiting

I know this does not help for now but someone has launched a Teens club for after Summer. Received the E Mail today. Some kind of launch event in September. Not that I have teenage kids but will pass it round to my friends that do as there is not an aweful lot for them to do out of school -= this seems like a good idea. Called Teens Club culture - www.teensclubculture.ae.

Wow, many thanks for the very kind offers. Tiki, he said he would love to go snow boarding when your son has some time. That would be great. Just let us know when its convenient for all of you. Basil... he has an x box too so he has been on that for some time, a little bit isolating sometimes but a great way to spend some time each day I agree. And Stellapas.. he loves skateboarding, tried the snowboarding here once and is quite good at it...he would love to meet some kids his own age for sure...

This year is easier for us : My 15 Yo is really into snowboard and spend his days in Ski Dubai (they have a 3 months full days pass). He usually goes from 3 pm onwards. He has a group of friends of the same age. Most of them are still there, although they will leave this week. We are staying all July, and beginning August, so if you want, we can meet or arrange something so your DS will meet some of his age...

I too have a 15yr DS here and Aussie as well. Mpac sports does Basketball for teenagers is really all I have found. All camps only go to 13yr old plus the ocean is too hot to swim in compared to back home even in Summer. Other than that get an X box and do X box live he then can play against old mates back home!

What is he into Shelley? What he probably needs is someone his own age to hang out with a little....let us know what he likes and we can see if we can help :)

There are a few summer camps on which will cater for teens. Speedo swimming is running a swim camp and there's a session for teens at DIA in the evenings. http://www.speedodubai.net/script/site/default.asp You could also check out http://www.activeuae.com/ActiveSports/index.php and http://esportsdubai.com/detailnews.aspx?sid=14&nid=470 If he likes music, there's are summer programmes at http://www.thomsunpuremusic.com/abt.asp The locations are all pretty close to Marina.

Not easy at all to stay in Dubai with a 15 years old. I have sent my 3 kids outside of Dubai one week ago because they were getting crazy here. Anyway, before leaving they were going to ski Dubai quite often, some of there friends take diving lessons at Jumeirah/Umm Suqueim, my boy was taking his skate board on the metro to go skating (Rage shop at Dubai Mall). He can go "flying "at Mirdif (quite funny). He can play golf really early in the morning, jet ski, and water ski. If you can, send him somewhere because Dubai is not easy for teenagers but being here at summer time is really hard.
