I am looking for service whereby someone comes to my friends house everyday for about 1-2 hours to make sure that she is ok. Maybe do some cooking, change the bed sheets etc, just like what I know from back home with the Red Cross and the likes. Any recommendations would be great.

Maybe a better option Silverstet and might have a look into that option. The ideal solution would probably be a part time nurse, but don't have a clue where to look for someone like that.

A maid agency would work out cheaper and would probably be fine for your friends needs. Home Maids got a minimum of 3h in some areas and minimum 4 h in others.

Emirates Home Nursing http://emirateshomenursing.ae/ There will be a fee but I cant tell you how much Thanks sarahlou, I know of them but they don't work just 1-2 hours a day. They want a full 6 hours each day which is just not needed. They however did offer me two hours for the same price of 6 hours?!?
