We moved out of Remraam last August after living there for 1 and a half years (we were evicted by the landlady as she tried to increase our rent by 14,000AED and we refused)... [b'>Pro's[/b'>: - The pools and landscaping are beautiful - The rents/cost to buy are cheap [b'>Cons:[/b'> - Was too far out from everything - The finishings of the apartments were terrible; gaps in the window frames causing a cold breeze in winter not to mention noise of when people are using the communal BBQ stations. - The maintenance company are very very bad. Slow at responding to problems, never giving you the call back without you chasing the issue up, charge 50AED everytime they are called out to your property and extra to fix whatever the problem is - not to mention these people are incredibly scruffy looking, no uniforms etc and smell badly!! I had to refuse entry to one guy as the smell of him was disgusting! - I came home one day to find the kitchen cupboards had fallen off the walls and were "sitting" ontop of the kitchen benches. The maintenance company came out and somehow managed to cause further damage to the tiles and cracked the plastic casing that was placed at the edge of the tiles. That was never replaced as they never had a white plastic in stock, only cream. - Pools are closed quite frequently for one reason or another, some reasons were unknown but there was once occasion of a grown adult male pooing in the pool (which is baffling when there are toilets at the pool). We just had the most wicked landlady ever and that may have had an influence over our time at Remraam, but honestly we would not move back here. Good luck!

Been living in Remraam for 3 years - really like it here. All the pools are finished, waiting on the gym. Basically you have two sides - Al Thamam which has the Geant, Coffee Shop, Barbers, dry cleaners, mosque, 2 pools, tennis and basketball courts as well as the temp sports pitches - they're also building a nursery at the moment. And Al Ramth - which is where all the construction is furiously going on at the moment so apartments there tend to be cheaper for now. Access is a massive issue at the moment, without a connecting road to Motor City. The new Al Yalais (sp) road makes getting to DIP, Green community, 311 and Shk Zayed road much easier. The construction quality is pretty poor. Had issues in the apartments I've lived in. Top floor apartments have noise and vibration issues from the roof AC unites. Corner units seem to have leaking issues from apartments above them. Sadly although it is pretty affordable housing, that means there's been a downside to it, with hotel and other companies bulk renting for their staff and cramming people into apartments. We've had issues with uneducated people 'messing' in the pools. A few 'thug' children causing issues - but you know this can happen everywhere, it's a case of educating your neighbours. I've like living in Remraam. If you're looking to buy - the agents / private owners will try and get as much as they can. Go directly to DPG they had a list of apartments to buy directly from them (the developer) and had 20% off the purchase price.

I really like Reemraam from the outside. Never bothered checking the apts. as it was way too far away. Been doing a lot of house hunting as we are looking to buy a place. Very hard as most of the affordable developments (for us) seem to have no master planning. We are thinking of Motor City. Any opinions on that. Think I will start a new thread.. ValGal.

Not sure about buying but we rented for a year (we left last February). The landscaping is gorgeous but the build quality of the apartments is atrocious. Visible gaps between the windows and frames, constant problems with the AC, grout on the bathroom tiles coming away etc etc. People have even reported balcony supports coming away from the walls. The maintenance company (who shall remain nameless) take forever to respond to complaints then charge a fortune to correct them. If you have a look at the Remraam FB group, there is a lot of talk about the above as well as it becoming the next International City (lots of men sharing an apartment, dodgy behaviour by the pools etc). A road connecting Remraam to Motor City is still being built but until it's finished it feels miles away from civilisation, especially with having to take the U turn on the Bypass road. Even though it's cheap(ish) to rent, I wouldn't move back.

hidarlingboys my fiancee used to live there before we got married, and as i usedto visit often, i found it to be very far, from the main city, itsa 20 km drive from centre, there are very few amnieites...from an investment side it might be good as prices are still reasonale compared to palm, downtown, businessbay... hope this helps.

from the investment side it might be worth while as surely the prices will go up once the entire area is done. from a living there side i didnt like how far away it was, how dusty it was outside and even inside due to the winds, and how the pool is not complete/ there will be construction on the remaining buildings for years to come.
