Trustworthy car dealers!

Hey ladies,

I just moved to Dubai, but my husband will not move here with my daughters until the end of september. I'll need to buy a nice (used) family car in the meantime. I already found some on Dubizzle, but could anyone tell me what good/trustworthy places (or dealers) there are where they have a wide variety of used cars to look at. I'm more confident when I can actually see and test drive a car, than buying one online.

Thank you so much in advance!

I have searched Dubizzle, but the reason I'd like to see some cars at a dealership or used car place, is because I'd like to get some advise and compare. Thanks everybody for all the replies!

Dubizzle is ok. The car has to be tested at RTA before a transfer anyway. Dubizzle is great for secondhand cars and there are some bargains to be had but there are also some sharks out there. The RTA test is OK for basics but if I was buying a car privately I would take it to somewhere like AAA in Al Quoz for them to do a more thorough check. They charge 400 - 600 but money well spent in my view. RTA does a more extensive test as well, that takes about an hour and they even drive away the car. I can't remember the price, ,but it wasn't too bad.

Thank you so much on your advise, starfishalicja! I will check out the place for sure! Concerning your 2 year old Ford Explorer; thanks for the offer! Is it a 2014 one? If so I will probably try and buy a car that's a little bit older, since we will need two cars in the end and have to try and fit it into our budget! Anyone else who has other suggestions for a place to find good cars; always welcome!

Hi Mirjam, the best place is Al Futtaim Auto Mall. You can check them out online and also go to the show room. I am selling my 2 year old Ford Explorer. You are most welcome to test drive it of course :-) Let me know if you are interested. username at gmail dot com http://dubai.dubizzle.com/motors/used-cars/ford/explorer/2015/8/12/ford-explorer-xlt-leather-2013-2/?back=ZHViYWkuZHViaXp6bGUuY29tL21vdG9ycy91c2VkLWNhcnMvZm9yZC9leHBsb3Jlci8%2Fc2VsbGVyX3R5cGU9JmlzX3NlYXJjaD0xJmtpbG9tZXRlcnNfX2d0ZT0mcHJpY2VfX2d0ZT0meWVhcl9fZ3RlPTIwMTMmeWVhcl9fbHRlPTIwMTMma2lsb21ldGVyc19fbHRlPSZrZXl3b3Jkcz0maXNfYmFzaWNfc2VhcmNoX3dpZGdldD0xJnByaWNlX19sdGU9&pos=13
