2 adults + 3 kids, need interconnecting rooms/suite/villa for weekends away. I never find the hotel websites helpful when trying to book for 5. Where in the UAE have you stayed or would you recommend which does this configuration without having to pay astronomical rates?

Agreee re the suite at the Hilton Resort and Spa and good old Le Meridien Al Aqah has always been a favourite. The Cove Rotana have villas and although not a favourite of mine, the facilities are great for kids and a lot of people do like it there.

Hilton Resort and Spa RAK do good deals for a suite - we have stayed there with the 2 kids in a 2 bed suite Le Meridien al Aqah does interconnecting rooms and often have good deals too
