I love Energetic Panacea on Al Wasl road, as they run a holistic and alternative therapy section alongside the conventional vets. They have recommened alternative treatments to a few of my fur babies where all the other vets just wanted to cut and do invasive procedures - the alternatives have worked wonders and less trauma for the animals.
I second Blue Oasis. They have been fantastic to my little dashchund. They do X-rays, acupuntures, etc etc. They also house cats. Every time I bring my doxie to Blue Oasis, it is remedied on the first and one visit. Their tel is: 04.8848580. It may be a little far out for you, to me...it is worth the drive if you know your furry friend will be healed and is in good hands.
Thanks! I'll get opinions from both! She's actually ok. She's had this her whole life so maybe she just doesn't knw any better? Kind of sad really!
She still eats, drinks, plays just fine. Just scratches a lot every now and again.
Hope we can get it fixed. She's such a joy now I wonder what she'll be like if she's pain free!
Hi, best two veterinary clinics in Dubai in my opinion: Nad Al Shiba Vet Clinic or The Veterinary Hospital. Both expensive, but v v good. Sorry, don't know prices. Best of luck, hope your cat's OK.
Hi everyone. It's my first time posting here under the pets section. I'm desperately seeking advice from anyone who has had any big vet work treatment done here in Dubai. I have a 3 year old, beautiful little fluff ball. I got her in Bahrain when she was 4 months old. She moved with us to Dubai 7 months ago.
She suffered with ear mites (from the litter) and had it treated by a vet there. When she a little older and went in to get fixed her ear was still quite bad so they decided to "wash" it out whilst she was under but they had hit a nerve whilst doing that which left her with half her face paralyzed! She was a mess! The vet didn't even bother explaining anything to us at the time! Fortunately after a few weeks the swelling went down and her face went back to normal. Ever since then though, she has always been plagued by terrible infections :(
She has been to the vets various times, but all they do is give her drops and just leave it at that. This week she had her yearly vaccinations done and once again I asked the vet to investigate. They took swabs and it showed that she has 2 types of infections. They are worried that her ear drum is burst and as they can see pus there, it really doesn't look so good.
They now want to do a antiseptic wash for a week, then strong antibiotics and maybe operate to drain the ear fully. To check if this is needed she needs to have an X-ray.
Can anyone recommend a good place for this? I'm not so happy with where she is now tbh and I'm finding their prices v high. Has anyone had X-rays done before! Any ideas of costs?
Thank you for any information you might be able to give
