Hi - We are looking at villa in VH and have been told by work colleague that there is a bad mosquito problem there ?? Is this true - anyone know anything about the mozi invasions ??

Mossies in VH are not any worse than other villas generally speaking. There are certain times of the year when they surface. Am advertising my villa for sale and there is a lot of interest so should sell this fairly soon. Very happy neighbourhood as you say, great for families.

Hi - Oliva - just in negno stage with landlord at moment as few things need sorting. For saying it's brand new it's been very neglected so in need of some TLC. Looking forward to it though.

Not sure where you'll be living but we really like it here at Victory Heights. We have a great street, great neighbours!

thanks for the input - guess we'll take our chances then as villa is just lovely and in fab location. Seems shame to pass on that for sake of stocking up on mozi spray / coils / repellant etc ;)

Well isn't that odd? I wonder if someone has standing water in plant pots or something?? Guess the moral of the story is they could be anywhere but aren't everywhere :) VH will probably be the same as DSO some places worse than others

Have lived in Victory Heights for exactly one year and yes there are times when the mosquitos are a nuisance but bad to the point that I wouldn't live here? No. I just heard from a friend at DSO that they are having a huge problem with mosquitos, they in fact were thrilled we didn't have any here when they visited. Ours tend to come later in the year and if you keep your screens closed it's not a problem inside. Outside it can be annoying in the evening. Found the same thing when we lived in the Meadows too. Im in DSO and don't have a problem with Mosquitos at all. had it much worse in the springs, and figured that was because of the lakes....
