Hi, Does anybody know where we can Wakeboard in Dubai please? We go Wakeboarding in Abu Dhabi most weekends and understand that Dubai is a bit more restricted. We usually wakeboard behind a Jet Ski. Is there anywhere to launch a jet ski from? Or is it possible to hire Jet Skis anywhere? Thanks in advance :-)

@chocs01...not so much a boarder, can't seem to find the necessary strength to get up on the board, I prefer to sit in the boat and watch others do it while I sip a cold glass of vino ;) Now the weather is cooling down we should do a ladies breakfast ride to Hatta fort.....My bike is in being beautified as we speak but vey much looking forward to get back on it.

You can launch your jet ski from the small part in umm suqeim. When you are looking at the see, it's right of kite beach and left of the dosc. Don't know where you can hire one. Morning waters are usually calm enough to wakeboard.

You could always head to Ghantoot and run in the channel there or you could launch just behind the fishing village and head to the sheltered area off Glasshouse Island in Dubai. Sabrina - a boarder as well as a biker? Nice! We have our boat at UAQ, the water is lovely up there first thing in the mornings. edited by Chocs01 on 05/11/2011

We go to the beach next to Jebal Ali Hotel, by the Jebal Ali Palm... the water is calm and great for beginners. There isnt a ramp to launch the boat/Jetski, but its easy enough to just drive it into the water, everyone does it. You can rent Jetski's at mamzar I believe, but im not sure if you can wakeboard there.
