I have been struggling with an extra 10-15 pounds for a while now...and let's face it none of my clothes fit...

I know what to do to loose the weight but honestly now is not the right time...I do exercise but dieting is impossible, since food is my only comfort at the moment!!! (I am alone in a new country, DH always away, kids driving me crazy etc !!!)

So I have been wearing my yoga clothes! They are so comfy:)

I have a trip coming soon and I am reluctant to buy new jeans...I still hope I will fit in my old clothes...one day...but also feel that's not going to happen anytime soon...

I feel that buying new clothes is like saying I am bigger now and ok with it? And I'm not! But what am I suppose to do in the meantime? Cannot wear my yoga clothes all the time...

Frenchy, I've tried both squeezing into too tight clothes and buying bigger sizes (quite a range in my wardrobe!) and I think it's better to go for the bigger size. Not only are they more comfortable but you look and feel better while in the tight clothes you feel fat. Feeling good (rather than squashed) in clothes in turn makes you feel much better about yourself and you'll be more inclined to make better food choices which can help with the weight loss. Hope you bought a pair of comfortable high heels too as they add instant glamour with jeans and also make you look slimmer. Really good advice you should be on telly not Gok!!!

Also - if you keep trying to squeeze into jeans that are too small you will just feel like a failure and get into the eating for comfort spiral. Give in, buy a larger size just now, but if they get too tight then you know you have to get yourself back on track................

I feel your pain, been there and just to let you know - there will come a time when you are back in the jeans you have now. But in answer to your thread title... Right NOW, time to put the yoga clothes away! The label in the back of your jeans is just that, a label! Cut it out if you don't like what it says. Trying to fit into jeans that are too small is uncomfortable and unflattering. Farm the kids out and go on a lovely spending spree for clothes for your 'interim curvy' period and have a massage at the same time. Not only will it be good for you to pamper yourself but the right sized clothes are more flattering than a pair that squeezes a muffin top out! Then you can tackle all the other stuff because you will be looking and feeling good! Big hugs to you.

just go with the flow get them the size you need now, they dont have to be expensive if you plan on losing weight at a future date, if its the label thats bothering you, just cut it out. then no one can see the label, at the end of the day its just a number. you have to love yourself now for who you are, regardless of size and i am speaking from a 5ft person, who is a size 16. you just have to accept yourself in the now. take care.
