I've been in the same position when i had problems with my landlord. I stayed at Easy Hotel, at 99 a night but it's a bit too far, so i moved to ibis along szr, near sharaf dg metro. When i was at easy hotel, it was very very basic but good enough for me. but the problem is i didnt have a car then so i had to move somewhere close.

We stayed at the Citymax Al Barsha for a few nights soon after they opened last year - it was absolutely fine, and a great deal.

Oaks Liwa Heights JLT may be worth looking at. Need to negotiate but worth a look at. These are large serviced hotel apartments.

Citymax is advertising rooms for less than 200 dhs a night at the moment. It's a budget hotel but lovely and clean, a couple of bars/restaurants, nice rooms, a pool and right beside MOE.

hadn't thought of Rotana its only coming up at 255 per night! believe it or not the Easy Hotels are around 100 dirhams per night but its very very basic.......... and a little out of the way..

Rotana Centro, very nice, easy location, lovely wee pool and gym and bar and very reasonable, I think a lot less than 450 a night. HTH

What about one of the furnished apartments in Tecom? they do weekly/monthly, he'd be able to self cater. Don't know if it would work out more reasonable than the likes of Ibis etc. The only name I can remember for some reason is Crystal living, but he could go for a quick drive round, most of them have banners out, some with the monthly rates on.
