Have tried watering it less but it doesn't seem to help. It's in direct sunlight. Any ideas gratefully received. X

Is it dying, or just sunburnt? Some plants just get a bit sunburnt during the hottest times of the year and look a bit worn, then they re-sprout and look lovely again when it cools down. I believe coconuts do this here. Others I have noticed that do this are pongamia's and even some of the ficus trees.

Thanks so much for replying! Will try watering it some more, give it some feed & hope the humid weather suits it more.

Coconut palms should be ideally suited to this part of the world as they can stand high temperatures, high salinity and very sandy soil. They need a lot water and preferably very high humidity (it has been getting more humid lately) so really the only thing I can think of is to give it a weekly feed with container plant fertilizer even if it's in the ground.I do this with my plants if they're looking a bit sick and it seems to help.
