My hair is dyed red and i wanted to switch to light brown with highlights, so it would have that nice blondy color, i even showed them a picture of how i wanted it to look like. I ended up having light brown hair with with white highlights. So i told them that i didn't like the highlights they said that the red was very hard to get out and that i should come next week and fix it. So i paid a fortune and went out thinking that i would fix it next time.
I went back a week later and the guy said that he was going to use 'toner' to make the highlights darker. Now i have brown hair with dark green/grey highlights. I was so mad, i just wanted to get out of there. Maybe i should have stayed and demanded they fix it, i really don't know, i didn't want to start crying since my eyes were starting to tear up. Anyone else had any problems with them?

I have been going there for nearly a yea and a half, have had no problems with my colour and I get it dyed red. I think the guys there are great and Lebanese men I hear from many sources make the best hair stylists. I think they are more reasonable in price then a lot of other places I have been too and yes I'm normally very fussy. Having said this my two favorite stylists from here left about 2 months ago leaving me stunned have been back to someone new there since and still liked what he did. can I ask OP is your hair in good condition? It's not easy to always get the exact colour you want. I know sometimes I go in there thinking im going to come out with hair the colour of x... But it always ends up of course not what I imagined, but that's always due to me. Thats what i was told about Lebanese hairdressers, thats why i made sure to go there, since i think they are all Lebanese men in the place. I didn't imagine going to perfect blond right away, but i didn't think that i would look like my grandmother, with streaks of greenish/grey hair!!

Stripping out red dye is extremely difficult and should be done gradually as mentioned below. I went from auburn to blonde at Jens salon, they were great and though it couldn't be done in one session, they made sure it was presentable the first time I walked out rather than sending me away with orange hair :) So I reccommend them.

I recommend Fdi (male stylist) n Pace e Luce in Al Manzil Souk in downtown. As a natural brunette, I always waned to be blonde, yet no matter where I went and no matter how much I spent I ended up disappointed..with grey/green hghlights. After one appointment with Fdi it looked great and after one more I am the exact shade that I have been chasing for years. Would recommend you give him a try and see if he can fix your hair. x

Who did your hair? I recently started going to them and I must say I loved the cut they did. But the color I had recently - I'm not mad about, blonde highlighted hair to brown but I look like I've got green/grey hair where the highlights were. ETA - I went back and had highlights again - really so happy with my hair, cut and color is gorgeous. I love them and I'd talk to the hairdresser if you were not happy, they will help you edited by burnsie000 on 12/03/2012

Going from red to light brown with blonde highlights should be done gradually. Not in one session. Also the type of hairdye you used to make your hair red would affect the 'blonde highlights' you wanted. Im surprised they agreed to do your hair in one session and later tone it. A professional hairdresser would have known better.
