I leave the fan on in the air-co system in every room just for the circulation of air. During the day I do the same in the bedrooms and put the air-co on when we go to bed. Up till now we have only our fan on in the living room, we get cold air from the hallway in the general area which is sufficient for us, which is great news for our monthly bills.:)

I put ours on about 10 minutes before BH arrives home in case he has had a hot taxi ride home-then turn it off within 10 minutes of his being home-we are lucky-our building is lovely and cool and that is the most we have had to use it in the 6 years we have been here <em>edited by wuffles on 20/07/2011</em>

we leave ours on all night in our bedroom and the kids as its so hot, if i turn it off the kids wake up sweating....Normally have it on auto on about 25/26 degrees so when it reaches that temp the air con is not running fully only a little to keep it that temp...and its not freezing cold. u should be fine turning it off whilst u are at work.

We are living in an 2 Bedr+Maid Apartment, As it is our first summer here in Dubai I am not sure if we should leave on A/C during night? We are both working so I turn on the AC sometimes when I come home late afternoon. During the night it is getting very warm in Bedroom, would you leave the A/C on? I have heard that we shouldn't turn off the AC all the time because it can get humid in the apartment and this could cause mould and damage furniture. I am not sure how to use the AC correctly.. We are not used to AC ...no need in homecountry...
