Hi,

I expecting my new addition in Aug-Sep, and I've been research strollers and the lot... I came across the new stroller that has been getting a lot of buzz in the US. It's called the Origami, and what makes it unique is that it is power folding...

http://www.4moms.com/origami

My friends and mother think i'm bonkers for wanting to buys it since it is $849.. they think I should either get a cheap stroller, and everything else off of either Craiglist or Dubizzle , but I'm finding it hard to be second hand for our first baby and besides both my husband and I love it and think it would be ideal especially when traveling with the baby.. Can I get some opinions ? Am I crazy for wanting this, is it unrealistic or should we follow what we think will be good for us...

we have already tested most of the brands. liked mamas and papas too. but the only thing with bugaboo is the travelling bag and easy to fold.even new model of M&P urbo is very nice. Like I said previously, we bought the travel bag and in the end it was annoying. Proved very bulky, especially when we were going on vacation and trying to fit it into taxi's/regular sized cars alonside our luggage! Never had an issue travelling without it. Pushchair always in one piece (well so far!)lol

Thanks for your kind words... manubhadauria .. I'm feeling almost that they are trying to guilt me into getting something that I/we may not like, love or want...... They say in their FAQ's section about the stroller that it has a bassinet option .... I have asked a friend to check it out in store and get back to me.... its heavy too due to the generators in there. check out the weight too. bugaboo is only 8.2 kgs and can be used upto 18 kgs of child weight. @shella: thanks for the update shella. we are centered onto that only as we plan to have 2 child atleast 3-4 yrs after. so this can be used afterwards too. from where did you bought yours? We bought ours in the UK and had family bring it over. We have recently bought the buggy board to go with it for times when our 4 year old is feeling lazy! Having said that, the pushchair is often empty as our 2 year old loves riding on the board too!!! Buggy board works very well with the Bee as it is specifically made by Bugaboo for their pushchairs! ETA: I think you would be best visiting the different shops and testing the pushchairs. It's all very well seeing somthing online and listening to peoples reviews(including mine!), however you might not think the same way or have the same requirements. I recommended the Bee to a friend but she wasn't too keen as she felt it was too light!! In the end she bought a Luna pram from Mamas and Papas which I agree is also a very nice pram . The funny thing is that the Luna is a light pram which apparently my friend didn't like about the Bee, oh and it significantly cheaper than the Bee. Each to their own. Have fun testing! edited by Shella on 07/03/2012

i have the same issues. we have selected bugaboo bee+ so far but everyody is advising to go for a cheaper stroller or any other from dubizzle. i was swayed by quinny's price and model but my DH is adamant on bugaboo. he does not want to buy second hand for the first baby :). one of my friend bought last year from dubizzle -gracco for just 500 with all the accessories but what's the point as she is again looking for the stroller after 1 year. you have to see what fits your criteria, as we will be travelling atleast 2-3 times a year so wanted a light stroller which can be put into its bag. and we don't want to buy 2 strollers one for here and one when we are travelling. it makes no sense when you have limited space here to store everything. but then for the first time parents like us it will be trial and error :) i have read so many reviews online and people say no stroller is perfect for all. you have to check your criteria. all the best in hunting. i'll check out your link too. if you are getting it by shipping do let me know please. :) edited by manubhadauria on 07/03/2012[/qu I bought the Bugaboo Bee for my first child 4 years ago. It proved to be a fab investment as it has been on numerous flights over the years and has also been used for my second child. We have never had any problems with it and would recommend people to buy it. We initially used the flight bag when travelling however after the second time we decided the bag was too bulky. We have taken the pram on a further 8 flights and it has never been damaged. Because of the size and weight we have not needed to buy a second stroller for travelling and it takes up very little space in our car. Good Luck with your pregnancies ladies. edited by Shella on 07/03/2012
