Hi
I am a little worried about about my DD who is 7 months now. Since Fri she seems to have gone off eating and having her formula.
She has been on 3 meals a day plus 4 milk feeds for about 2 weeks now and it was going well. Fri she had all her cereal for breakfast and then has just gone off her feeds since then mostly her milk.
Her normal routine would be
6:30 Breastfeed
7-7:30 Breakfast
11:00 6oz formula
13:00 lunch
15:00 6oz formula
5:30-6 Dinner
7 Breastfeed then bed

This was going well now she will only have about 3-4oz of formula during the day and not eating as much as she normally would. The food does not worry me as much I am just worried she is not getting enough milk. Is this something I should be worried about.
TIA

It could be ,as already posted, a teething issue. My son is a fantastic eater, always has been. When he got the bottom 2teeth, he would eat very little from a spoon and pushed a bottle away constantly. Now with teeth 3,4,5 and 6 he is the same. Can you try offering finger foods instead of a spoon dragging on the gums? Also, can you offer More breastfeeds instead of formula for a while if you are worried about the intake ( I appreciate this may be difficult ) it may help with any possible irritation.

Thanks Ladies. I was not sure of giving yoghurt/dairy at 7 months but will give it a go. The good thing is she took a good amount last night and this morning and still having wet nappies. What is another good way to get iron apart from meat? I am giving her either lentils or turkey for lunch at the moment, will try chicken this week. Just wondering what else to give to increase iron.

DS dropped to only 2 milk feed during the day at 7 months, which I found really worrying, as he didn't have formula either, but his nappies continued being wet and he certainly carried on putting on weight. These should always be the main indicators. Keep an eye on her to make sure she's ok. In the meantime, you could also try upping her dairy to compensate - butter, milk, yoghurt, cheese... all good to put in her food!

may be she is teething and has irritation of some sort, and is not able to eat comfortably because of this...
