Hi Ladies! How is everyone doing? It has been a long time since I posted - I was working long hours and moved house, so not much time for anything else! I finished up work on the 14th, and our little baby boy decided to arrived early on the 17th - (a few weeks early obviously). We had a wonderful relaxed birth at City (it was our third birth here in Dubai, but 1st at City) - so hopefully that is good news for a few as I know a few of us were planning on delivering there. How is everyone doing? Has anyone else delivered yet? It would be great to get all the babes together once everyone is settled. Tanya

That's if you get to 36 weeks, I think twinnys are unpredictable :/ ah sorry to hear about your back/pelvis, I've got slight pain, but it's not horrendous. Though I'm sure in a few weeks it will be. Hope everyone had a nice break over eid x

We are December 1, but I'm mentally preparing for a later baby since this is our first. I walk over in Arabian Ranches and it really does make the desk days so much more bearable being able to move early in the morning (I head out around 6:30). We work out at Fitness First on alternating mornings and the weekends. I haven't bought dedicated maternity workout gear so I'm just borrowing some of DH's t-shirts since they're bigger and accommodate my growing midsection. You can imagine the looks I get wearing a "Kung Fu Fury" t-shirt over a 7 month belly lol.

Thanks Littlelou - just found the posts you were talking about. What is your due date in Dec? We might end up at Zahra at the same time. I live on the Palm so walk on the Palm most of the time but also often do Marina Walk. I'm doing the pre natal fitness classes and the gym at home as well on the days i get up late and its too hot to walk outside. You are probably walking a lot earlier than me though if its before work! Whereabouts do you walk normally?

Welcome, Patience! There are quite a few of us who are interested in the new Al Zahra Hospital. There are a few newer threads on the Pregnancy, Babies & Toddlers forum with all rave reviews about delivering there. From what I've heard, the doctors, midwives and facilities are all great and very pro-natural. We are due early December and are definitely going to deliver at Al Zahra (not to mention, I don't want my husband peeling down Al Khail all the way to DHHC while I'm in labor lol). I'm also walking every morning before work ... where do you go out??

Hi December ladies. I'm new to this group but am expecting our first little above to arrive mid December also. Would be great to meet up with you all, but unfortunately can't make this Friday. I don't work so if anyone if around during the week for a coffee let me know. I also walk quite a lot, despite the heat, so if there are any other fit mums-to-be that are interested in walking weekdays drop me a line! Would love the company!! While i'm on here - has anyone had any experience at Al Zahra Hospital in Barsha? We did a tour there the other day as its one of two we are looking at... it looks AMAZING but just wondered if anyone had heard any comments? Our other option in Al Garhoud Private... i've heard good things but wasn't overly impressed with the tour. Any help would be fab! Hopefully meet some of you soon!

Hi, Kitty-Kat! I am also in disbelief about how fast this is going! We're all on the brink of the 3rd trimester! We just purchased our stroller and we ended up going with the Mamas and Papas Pliko Pramette with the M&P Primo Viaggio car seat. We did a ton of research and looked at what felt like a hundred models, but in the end we went with what felt best for us. I liked how easy it was to get the M&P stroller assembled and disassembled; the weight of the stroller and the size of the folded stroller for the trunk of the car. Maybe I'll end up cursing the day I ever bought this thing, but for now I'm a happy mama. (Note: I'm a first time mom, so maybe this isn't practically helpful so much as another anecdote that none of us can really know what she's doing until baby comes.) Hope you're feeling well!!!

Hi Ladies, How are you all getting on? I'm just entering my 27th week and it seems as though the due date is just around the corner....eeeeek! With that said, we're now going to start our baby shopping and have been looking into prams. There are so many on the market and its quite difficult to make the decision. We were gearing towards the Quinny Buzz but yesterday read reviews that it wasn't suitable for small toddlers (i.e. from age of 1 onwards). So we've been looking at the Uppababy Vista now, although this is a little over the budget. We've seen the Mothercare and Mama's and Papa's ones and quite like these too. Has anyone bought or used either of these...any reviews would be really helpful! xx

Hello Ladies, My name is Frannie and would love to meet the other December mothers-to-be. I am due Dec 1 and delivering at City, like some of the others here I guess. It would be great if there are more meet up opportunities in September once people are back from vacations. If anyone has recommendations for prenatal yoga that meets outside work hours, I'd love to know and find something for the fall. As a first time mom who works full time, I have a feeling that the fall is going to be pretty busy! Cheers, Frannie

Hi Lleucu, Thanks for that!! I have also decided to go with Cecille for the classes. They seemed nicely organised and I liked that she would come for a visit after the birth to check I was doing things correctly :) we're doing all the classes and will start in September. Might catch you there :) For the prenatal Pilates, I decided to go with the classes at Exhale at JBR (Murjan cluster). Although we've had a few different instructors over the last few weeks, I'm enjoying the variety that each one of them brings. Xx

Hi All, Sorry I missed the meet up, can you please let me know when the next one is?! The time has flown! 21 weeks now and counting (isn't it great - we are over half way there!)... @Kitty-Kat, have you seen anything about Cecille de Scally (spelling?) for antenatal classes? Two of my friends went to her and said she was very good. She also then does post-natal vists to give you advice on breast feeding etc if you want it. I am ready to start looking at her classes, I have her mobile number and will drop her a line. Also, re: Yoga/Pilates, I've been to the Prenatal Yoga class at Zen Yoga in Media City (they do several classes during the week, some are evenings and weekends good for us working gals!). The lady who teaches is very good (and also 20 weeks pregnant, due on 17th December(!)) - so I was confident that whatever she was doing was good for me to do as well! It's a lot of sitting down, stretching etc but it felt good to feel a bit looser! I'm going tonight - the classes do book up fast so best to ring at least a day before to book. I will also try Real Pilates at JLT (recommended by my Pre-Pregnancy pilates teacher). They do classes on Thursday evenings and weekends - will pop over next week to see what they are like :) Keep sweating it out in the heat lovely ladies!! xx

Hi Ladies! Hope you're all OK and staying away from when possible! It felt like the oven door was just constantly open in my face yesterday I think I felt the baby move for the first time last night...either that or it was gas...hehe! But it felt like little bubbles. Anyone else starting to feel any movements? Just entering the 19th Week and the bump is suddenly bigger. I've read that the baby doubles in size over the next 6 weeks I've been having a look at starting either Antenatal Yoga or Pilates but not sure which one to go for. I think there are yoga classes in Media City and Pilates at Exhale in JBR (or maybe its the other way round!). I only want to do one as I've read that they are quite similar. Does anyone have any suggestions on which to go for or have you already started going to classes that you can recommend? I've also been trying to look into antenatal classes but not having much luck there. I contacted Cooper Clinic but they do a one full day session with the next available class in October. I'm not too keen on that as its a lot of information for me to absorb in one day. I've heard that Healthbay PolyClinic do classes but don't have any information on that. xx
