Hi all - does anyone fancy meeting up for a coffee (decaf of course!!) next week? I'd love to meet some girls going through the same thing at the same time. I'm 28 yes old and from UK and will be going back to give birth but thought I could meet some ladies before I go? I'm in Palm Jumeirah so anywhere is quite convenient. I'm 28, come from UK and also live on the Palm! Email deleted edited by LAD on 25/06/2011

Hi ladies, I'm due end of September with first baby and staying here! Seem to have had big growth spurt over past couple of weeks! Am delivering at American hospital.... anyone signed up for ante-natal classses yet? AH classes are over a weekend but that may be a bit intense for us :\: Hi, I'm also delivering at American Hospital. One of the questions I was going to ask at my next appointment was about ante natal classes as I haven't been to any. How long do the classes run for and when are you meant to start going to them? I have no idea about this kind of thing as this is also my first!!

Hi all, nice to hear from the September ladies again! Got my Dr appointment next week so will see how much weight I've put on! I'm not too fussed to be honest, it's just my belly that's big. Although because of the heat I haven't been as active so dread to think what I'll be like at the end!!! I'm staying here to give birth (the hospitals here are way nicer than the one I'd be going to in Scotland). Not looking forward to July/August as everyone seems to be going home, so I'm up for meeting up in July/Aug for some morale support! x

At 29 weeks I have put on 10 kgs - I think it is fine! I found this that tells you what all the weight gain will be for by 40 weeks. Obviously this could vary, but it gives you an idea, and reminds you that at least 6 of those kgs are NOT FAT! Baby: 7 to 8 pounds (about 3 to 3.6 kilograms) Larger breasts: 2 pounds (about 1 kilogram) Larger uterus: 2 pounds (about 1 kilogram) Placenta: 1 1/2 pounds (about 0.7 kilogram) Amniotic fluid: 2 pounds (about 1 kilogram) Increased blood volume: 3 to 4 pounds (about 1.4 to 1.8 kilograms) Increased fluid volume: 3 to 4 pounds (about 1.4 to 1.8 kilograms) Fat stores: 6 to 8 pounds (about 2.7 to 3.6 kilograms) All these people going to cooler climates to give birth ... I will be here in Dubai! Is anyone else staying here?

Hi All - the september mums-to-be seem to be on the quiet side so thought Id bump this up and see how you're all doing? Im due September 23rd and am now in my 27th week (I think) and so far the pregnancy has been great. Started to feel like a beached whale and the heat is REALLY getting to me .... I cant go for a swim or walk without breaking out into a horrific sweat!! Ive put on 9 kg's - around 20 lbs which I believe is CRAZY high so Im getting a bit concerned about that. How are you all doing on weight gain? Im also starting to research labour and birth positions as it is my first and Im getting very nervous about the whole labour thing. Ive decided to go back to the UK to have the baby so Im leaving in a couple of weeks for the US to escape the heat and then stopping in UK to have the baby so hopefully all the travels will make the third trimester fly by. Lots of love to you all and hope you're surviving the blistering heat xxxxx

Hi everyone! I am due to have a boy in the first week of September. Very excited! (Hence couldn't be patient and went ahead and found out the gender!) We are at City Hospital and going to do antenatal classes with Cecile de Scally. I am keen to meet a few mummies to be who are due around the same time. Is anyone up for doing that in July or August?

Hey everyone, just thought I'd join in although strictly I'm due Aug (26th). For anyone who's worried about putting on weight I think it varies from person to person. I'm nearly 27 weeks with my first baby and so far I've put on over 10kg. At the docs on tues she said I was very healthy and was doing everything right. I would love to meet up with other mums who are due at the same time, as it's so reassuring to share experiences. :)

Hi all. Due date is the tail end of Aug and may end up delivering in early Sept. Expecting our first and found out it's going to be a little girl :) Been having severe sciatica/ sacriolic pain since week 15 and have been going for physio to help cope, but nothing much can be done. Hopefully delivery will be the cure! Anyone else having similar pain, or maybe just severe back pain? Also are you able to sleep well at night?

Casper1 - I think 15 pounds is perfectly normal amount of weight for this stage. I am nearly 25 weeks gone now and have put on about the same. I'm trying to eat relatively healthily and swim a lot, and not get carried away with 'eating for 2'.

Hi ladies, can I join as well? I'm due 15 September (I had added to the previous thread on September due date) I've just moved to Dubai 3 weeks ago from Scotland. Got my first appointment booked 5th June with Dr Braithwaite from American Hospital. Hope you're pregnancies are all going well, my bump seems to have exploded since I got out here, I blame the sun (nothing to do with Krispy Kreme's lol!) xx

Hi there, Im new to this! We are about to move to Arabian Ranches tomorrow and was wondering if anyone could give me some pointers in terms of where to go to meet people? We have a 2 year old and I am pregnant with our second (due mid sept). Any suggestions would be helpful? I tried asking in the golf club but not really much help!

Hi Ladies I am due on 14th Sept with our 1st. So excited but scared at the same time. I couldn’t wait to find out as I don’t like surprises so we ask and its a little boy (woo hoo). I have put just over 4 kgs on and my doc seems to be happy with that. Is anyone else on weekly injections? If so how are you coping? I so wish I could stop them but doc say not till 32 weeks :o( How you ladies finding the heat? I feel that it knocks me big time, and all i want to do is sleep or relax on sofa but cant due to work. Is anyone working and if so when you planning on leaving? Would be great to try arrange a meet, anyone keen? Congrats again to all you lovely ladies and I hope your all finding these months joyful. Take care and relax all you yummy mummies :o)

I'm due early Sept too. Baby number 2, already have a little girl who's 3 1/2. We live in Jumeirah 1. Where are you all? 24 weeks gone now. Also don't know the *** and have resisted the temptation to find out (although the doctor is dying to tell us!) Are you having your babies here? I am - it's going to be a hot summer!!

Hi there Kent10. Congrats on your pregnancy. I'm due in early Sept. Seems to be going so quickly now and have noticed big growth spurt since 20 weeks. We're trying to resist finding out the *** of the baby - it's very tempting but for us we think it's nice to have the surprise. Do you think you're going to find out? It would certainly make shopping less confusing :-)

This post was already started but seems to have disappeared! Anyone due in September? Do you know the s*x? We are over half way already! We have decided not to find out what we're having - FTM... just wondered if others know?
