DS started "teething" at 3 months old but the teeth didn't actually cut through until he was 7 months. They move up and down under the gums, gums get inflamed, baby gets dribbly but nothing happens. There is not much you can do. Sophie le Giraffe is a great teething toy that is easier for a younger baby to hold. Babies put everything in their mouth anyway, its how they explore things, teething or not. If you're going to give formula, why not make it the dream feed. Dreamfeeding never made any difference to me but worth a try. Thanks Kiwipiers, she does drool sometimes but there's a lot of saliva these days. I'm planning to get Sophie for her anyway (if its still there at Pottery Barn), so maybe it'll get better with that? Is it safe for her to sleep with though? And yes, I have tried formula as the dreamfeed too. But she doesn't take in the entire amount that she takes in when she's awake. Is that still okay?

Hi ST, Why don't you BF her for bed and formula top up for dreamfeed? Also, why don't you leave her your jimmies to 'sniff' too? Perhaps your DD just wants you to make her sleep better..that's what I do to my DD, for comfort..that way I can get up and do my stuff with her still having my 'smell' with her? S Thanks Shjbelle. I have tried leaving a cloak-like thing I wear all the time beside her, but hasn't worked :(

So DD is almost 15 weeks and till now I thought (and was told) how lucky we were to have her sleep 8 hours at night. She would sleep from 10 to 6 or 11 to 7. With many short daytime naps. And she would also nap only ON me during the day, but sleep in her crib in our room at night. When she wakes up in the morning, I get her to our bed because it takes her an HOUR of breastfeeding to fall asleep again. She wakes up after 1.5 hours again. And then she takes her short 45 minute naps throughout the day, longer on some rare occasions. Throughout the last week, I've started feeding her lying down in our bed and trying to make her nap there without me while I go around doing my chores. It's been a hit and miss. Sometimes she sleeps for 2-2.5 hours and sometimes she'll wake up as soon as I get up from the bed. But now that some of her naps are looking better, her night sleep has decreased and she wakes up at 4 or 5. Her last feed of the day is a formula top up and she takes in anything between 150 - 180 ml. She's breastfed on demand throughout the day. If I start putting her in bed at 8, should I give her a dream feed at 11 before I go to bed? And is there such a thing as a breastfeeding dreamfeed? Or do I have to give her a bottle? How long should I dream for if its the breast? Also she's been extra sucky-offlate (though she just doesn't take the dummy) and has started trying to put the toys that dangle from her play gym into her mouth. I know it's too early for her to teeth, but should I get that checked out too? How do you check for tiny teeth in their tiny mouths anyway? If anyone has any tips, I'd love to know. This lack of sleep and extrasuckyness has made me so drained and tired that I just broke down this morning. And then I got up, realised there was EW and came crying for help here. TIA
