Well will probably hear back from the clinic by the time I drive to a pharmacy or pick up one! They have assured me they will let me know before 8:45pm tonight! That's a probably whereas a test in your hand is a definite. Get it and if you don't hear do the test when your hubby gets home? It's nerve wracking, i know. I also don't know you in RL and am just a t'internet buddy but i'm really hoping for you.. It also isn't the end of the world if the test is negatve this time, just heart wrenching. Anyway begged the nurse to touch base with the lab and ask for a result today itself! Does anyone here have any idea how long a beta hcg test normally takes? The test should only take an hour according to BH

Sorry ladies no news yet. Doc said she'd call me as soon as she gets the result! I'm watching my cell phones Luke a hawk! So glad DH is late at work so won't be exposed to my paranoia! I so hope it's not just a period delay... Have always been spot on the date every month and don't have any complications like pcos... Arrghhh so tense. Every loo visit is filled with stress! I even close my eyes, wipe myself praying that there's no blood on the tissue! Sorry to gross u ladies out but I'm just so tense I'm going bonkers! Pls pls pls go make ur dinners and put the kids to bed. Will let u know just as soon as I hear anything.

7pm seems like hours away and I'm not you! I'd be climbing the walls if I was. Fingers crossed! Just an aside... can you think of anything that could have affected the first half of your cycle, such a stress or illness? Generally the second half of your cycle will remain the same length, whatever happens (within a day, anyway) but the first half of your cycle can be affected by external factors, delaying ovulation. I once thought I was six days late and was utterly convinced I was pregnant, although three tests came back negative. When I started looking into cycles and charting temperatures to work my own out, I realised my period wasn't late - ovulation was. Still disappointing, but at least I saved myself a fair bit more disappointment once I knew when I was really 'late'. Just something to think about, but I am so hoping you won't need to think about it :D.

heh all... was so ****** tied up at work that couldn't get to a pharmacy and buy the damn kit... however, just snuck out of work during my lunch break to my gynaec clinic and did a beta HCG blood test... results out by 7pm so still walking around with crossed fingers and toes... have said every prayer in the book... two wishes at this stage... 1. that i am actually pregnant 2. that i can actually sustain this pregnancy and deliver a healthy baby (had a miscarriage last year same time :( thanks again ladies for all the support... u have no idea how much this means to me... love u all!
