Hi, I took my DD to the UK at 4 months. She slept most of the way in a night flight from Dubai. She had er usual naps through the day an I put her to bed at her usual time (7.30pm). Even with the 4 hours time difference at this time of year she got up at her normal time (6-7am).
Don't make a rod for our own back getting up at 4am. You are going to be totally wiped out and for family that are working if you put your DD to bed 4 hours earlier than normal uk time they won't get to see her.
My advice, go with the flow, don't clock watch and you'll be surprised how your DD adjusts. Good luck
i am also travelling to india which is 1 and a half hour ahead of dubai. i was wondering if i have to do everything late for ds which would get quite late there. but i think after reading your post i will let ds take the lead and would follow his cue after first day :) thanks

Having just come back from US, I would recommend you keep the DXB timings if you are willing to wake at 4am and put her to sleep at 4pm approx. It's much easier and not worth it for such a short trip. We are having a crappy old time getting our routine back though DD is 8 months.
Hey ladies
We're going to UK for 2 weeks soon and cant decide what to do about my 4 month old DD's routine to cause the least amount of disruption and stress. Do i keep her routine as per DXB time (which would mean starting my day at 4am as she usually has her morning feed at 8 and then every 3 hrs from there on in) or go by UK time and risk having a nightmare trying to get her back into her normal routine when we get back home. Either way i think im going to end up sleep deprived! :( what do you normally do?
TIA! xx
