30 weeks still vomiting every morning. Should this make you feel better (that others r worse) or worse cuz of the thought that sickness can accompany u throughout? :D Happy pregnancies! I feel for you! I think I will be suicidal if it carried on into week 30! phew, or maybe I will just quit my job..

In my first pregnancy, my morning sickness did stop, like a miracle, at 11.5 weeks....so it does happen! Second pregnancy dragged on for longer but wasn't as severe. I am in week 18 and have still nausea. But more than anything I have a high sense of smell, everything smells.Living in JBR doesn't help, tried to break our contract but didn't work.Anybody has suggestion. I also had this problem with smells...I was tortured by the smells of neighbours cooking, had to change all my soap etc to unscented. One thing I found helped was eating mint sweets. If you're sucking a mint that kind of blocks out other smells, and the sugar helps with the morning sickness. I always used to suck a mint if I had to go in the supermarket (especially in the meat aisles!!)

For me it lasted 20 weeks and then good and bad days for the next few weeks and by 24 weeks totally gone! To get myslef through it I kept saying that the sickness was a good sign that all was still ok and that I still had all the baby hormones surging through my body :)

About 14 weeks mine lasted, but the sense of smell was always there. I was the queen of handing out breath mints to all my colleagues!

oh dear wish I hadn't asked now as non of you seemed to have been cured by the end of the first trimester.. I have been on Navidoxine for the past 3 weeks, it does nothing for me at all so I have now been upgraded to Zofran! it works out to AED 35 per tablet! jeez what do they put in that thing.. just hope it dosn't have any negative effects, but for the past two days it's making me feel human again so I don't want to give it up. I used the Zofran for my 1st and 2nd pregnancy's - it is hideously expensive - but really... if you think about it - you'd happily fork out Dh35 when you're feeling so cr*p daily. I'm sorry ti hear it's gotten that bad... :(

Just another thing to add... When I felt so cr@p I'd constantly remid myself that it's a good sign that baby is healthly an growing strong! It really helped my mental state ;-)

For me, the bad ms stopped at around 14 weeks, after 11 weeks I started to vomit less frequent. Now, at 16 weeks I still have some nauseas at nigth but only for a few hours and no vomit. I hope it is gone!

Mine didn't stop until 16/17 weeks! The only way I could stop that sick feeling was eating.

With my first DS - about 3 hours after delivery :) It does vary... and there are fab drugs out there! I second Navidoxine - but make sure you speak with your OB prior to taking any medication.

I only had about 10 days of feeling vaguely tummy-rumbly of an evening with my first and nearly 10 weeks of full-on every-waking-moment-nausea with my second! Second time around, it stopped at 14 weeks, 48 hours after I stopped taking the hormone supplements my OB/Gyn prescribed.

Around 16 - 19 weeks it tapered off, then last trimester it came back to haunt me again :/: Same as KellsBells - I also took Navidoxine, however it did not do too much for me as I was on Glucophage in the first trimester and that just made it worse!!! Morning sickness - yeah right! More like "All day Sickness" :\: However there is light at the end of the tunnel - once your beautiful baby is born, all will be forgotten in a split second :D

Around the 13/14 week mark. But everyone and every pregnancy is different so hopefully yours will go away as soon as you hit the 12 week mark :)

From memory, around 15/16 weeks, but it did improve from week 13. Bad news is that mine came back to haunt me a couple times each month, so I guess I could say it never 'really' stopped. But as the pregnancy progressed then all I needed once in a while was a good vomit and then felt good. :D I feel your pain and hope it goes away for you asap! edited by shellly on 28/03/2011

I know some will frown apon this advice but some weeks it was just so bad that I took Navidoxine tablets just to have a "normal-ish" day once in a while. Refused to touch meds during my first pregnancy but was more relaxed second time round so gave them a try. Best thing as it really helped. Guess I was a lot more desperate second time round too, having DS 1 to run after and entertain. Those days all the Ginger, coke, salty crackers, plain crackers....etc just weren't enough. Edited to add: obviously you'd need to check with your GP/OBGYN before taking the meds. edited by KellsBells on 28/03/2011

18 weeks first time round and 13 the second. No two pregnancies are the same but I do know a lot of ladies who found it got much better at around 13 weeks. So hang in there. It's horrid!!
