Hi there we're planning to go to Berlin the first time - any recommendations re a hotel/stay with 2 kids and where? It's only for 3 nights so should be very central - whereever that may be...
Much appreciated!!!!

Really glad you enjoyed the trip. I was only thinking of you the other day and wondered if the Adina had worked out. Thats great!

Just came back and can TOTALLY recommend Adina Apartment Hotel Checkpoint Charlie - a dream for us as they have a washing machine & dryer in a cupboard in the bathroom (two young boys...) and we couldn't really fault the place! Small indoor pool & Jacuzzi was a hit with the boys in the cooler German weather & location fab as supermarket, pharmacies & doctors & of course sights all really close.

Hi there! just back from a trip to Berlin. we stayed in the Adina apart hotel. really nice accommodation. they have a pool, fitness area and serve breakfast and dinner. nice bar also. really good if you need spacious accommodation for kids. we stayed at the one in hauptbahnhof though there are two others in berlin. very close to the hauptbahnhof train station. there is no real central area. everywhere is a quick ride on the s bahn. i recommend you get the three day pass for unlimited public transport. we found it excellent. the kids will love berlin zoo and aquarium. kurfurstendamm is where all the shopping is. there are boat rides and a hop on hop off bus for sightseeing. you will get discounts on all of these and on zoo passess with the three day travel pass. Hope you enjoy your trip, we did! Faaaaaaaaaab, we've booked the Adina Checkpoint Charlie and r there in a week's time. Thanks a lot!

Disastrous D has some good tips, but just adding that we stayed at the checkpoint charlie apartment last November - http://www.apartment-berlin.com/en/apartments.html They were really really helpful, friendly and efficient. We only had a 4 month old baby with us, but it was great for what we needed.

I can't recommend anywhere specifically for 2 children but I would recommend you try to get hotel/apartment in the formner 'Eastern' side, it is beautiful. I'd definitely recommend the Westin Grand Hotel - perfect location: http://www.westingrandberlin.com/ HTH

Love Berlin! I would say everywhere in Berlin Mitte, maybe best in West with kids...? Just make sure the hotel is close to U- and S-bahn, then you can easily come around, without walking too much. Both are very well connected everywhere around the city. Remember the hotels you see in a good area for your next visit. Sorry, can't help with good hotels for kids.
