My boyfriend [ special male friend ;) ] wants to do yoga for the longest time but only wants to go if I go with him. I can't do that cos I'm doing bootcamp and running so won't really have time. His concern is that most yoga centres are dominated by females and he doesn't wanna feel like a sissy. I told him he should do it and not give a ***k as to what anyone would think and he said he would eventually, but as of now, he's trying to find a yoga place where there are a number of males too and doesnt know where to ask.

He lives in Marina but doesnt mind traveling anywhere in New Dubai area. Any of you ladies attend yoga classes that have a couple of males attending every class?

Tell him most professional athletes do yoga or pilates for their core strength and suppleness. Nothing sissy about that. The women will be full of respect for him (as long as he doesn't f*rt in those awkward poses.....)

I've seen men in the yoga and Body Balance classes at Fitness First.

There were a few chaps doing the Yogilates classes at Core Direction. Yoga is good in that it goes at your own pace and you can push it as far as you want, so there's nothing sissy about it. You can be perfectly manly lifting yourself off the ground with your arms or holding a perfect pose... just don't keel over with cramp! Tell him only sissies wooss out and avoid going to class because they're afraid of how they may look! edited by Hello.Again.Kitty on 19/08/2011
