Thanks so much but Mum brought me over a Mamas and Papas nest rocker/bouncer like kiwi's last night :D. Emirates managed to leave it at Heathrow and it arrived in two separate deliveries, but it got here in the end! edited by DubaiCat on 24/10/2011

I have one of these that I'm happy to sell to you DC :) My little man is getting a tad too active to be in there for much longer! It's the one that kellsbells was talking about... if it can hold her little munchkin, you're pretty right for a while! http://www.dealsdirect.com.au/p/fisher-price-precious-planet-happy-giraffe-bouncer/

I hate those banners with a passion. I'm looking for one with more solid legs than the usual wire bouncer-style ones, ideally that doesn't look like it's a piece of baby kit! DH really likes the M&P one kiwi mentioned but I looked online and it says they're out of stock here :(.

Hi DC. That silly banner was in the way do I couldn't read your last post properly. I'm not sure what style bouncer you looking for. The one I have is similar to the dubizzle link picture, except it's got the bar with the electronic waterfall lights and music. Il try to mail you a pic if you like, I'm a bit clueless as to how to post a link here.

That's what DH is thinking - we have a family room upstairs full of all sorts of toys for the Lord of the Manor but he likes to keep downstairs a 'grown-up zone'. He likes the way that chair looks like it's a bit of furniture rather than a Rainforest Jumperoo! Not that he's home to see it much.... Anyway I shall show him your other options, C2AD. He might like the M&P one but he says the bouncer-style ones are a waste of money because I gave the last one away! It really was a flimsy piece of rubbish, though, and the FP one looks much better. Poppy82, is yours the same as the bouncer in C2AD's picture? If so thank you for the lovely offer but it's not what we're after :). Did you manage to get yourself sorted with treatment in the UK? edited by DubaiCat on 18/10/2011

I had this one, http://www.mamasandpapas.com/product-nest-rocker-bouncer-in-one-olive/457876300/type-i/ which I LOVED, rocker or bouncer, it was just very comfy and deep and DS even slept in there a bit as a newborn. The dangly toys on it were pretty boring though I actually removed the part they hang from, it was more for him to sit in and be social. Plus it was a lot less ugly than the other ones :) Now that looks like a good 'un! I don't suppose you're selling it, are you? :D Sorry, we are holding on to it for number 2, it really is a good one though, we have it in beige because It matches our couch and I'm one of those awful Mummies who refuses to turn her house into a baby-shrine. In my defense baby-kiwi does have an awesome pimped out play-area with all the garish colours of the rainbow and enough toys to guarantee he grows up to be be spoilt sociopath but it's tucked around the corner from my zen "grown-up zone". One and only downside to this one (and probably applies to most of them) is that its not easily washable, which means if you end up with a spilly baby like mine was then you end up putting a blanket over it so that it doesn't get "decorated", but mamas and papas also sell an nicely overpriced velour blanket which matches quite well. What I really liked about it was that even though it comes with a safety harness, its deep enough that you don't really need to use it, so you can just them them in. It folds down pretty flat too, we used to chuck it in the car when we were visiting friends. Those motorised/musical ones are probably awesome, but they freak me out a bit, kind of like a robot nanny singing to and rocking your baby, do have friends who swear by them though.

I have this one for sale - http://abudhabi.dubizzle.com/m/classified/baby-items/baby-gear/swings/2011/9/20/graco-sweet-peace-soother-swing-3/?back=L2NsYXNzaWZpZWQvYmFieS1pdGVtcy9iYWJ5LWdlYXIvP3BhZ2U9NA== It was a lifesaver for my DD. It has all the different features of a bouncer, swing, activity station all in one. Can you attach a bar to it so you can hang toys and things to entertain/stimulate them? It looks lovely and comfy! There is an activity bar that is included as well as an iPod/mp3 jack with a built in speaker.! I'd be willing to sell it to you for 375 if you're interested. Will be up in Dubai on Thursday. It was only used for a few months - pet and smoke free home. edited by Chgo2AD on 17/10/2011 Thanks so much - I shall speak to DH :).

I used the blue Fisher Price one for both my boys. Sturdy and they loved it. Has an arch that flashes and plays music for entertaining and can easily be removed for relaxation time. It also vibrates - this worked wonders in getting DS 2 to get drowsy. The Rainforest one is lovely too...infact DS climed into one over the weekend and amused himself...so it's sturdy and good enough for 1 year olds. hehehehe.. Was it the rocker chair or the bouncer? I think I had the bouncer before my I'm pretty sure my sister had the rocker chair and it was great.

I don't think it might make a difference to a baby on which colors he/she sitting on :D as long as you hang over something interesting for bubs :) and change it as often you can to keep the interest going :)

I'd like this new baby to have naps in the Moses basket and awake time with DS and I in the playroom. Am I better getting one of those rocker/bouncer/chair thingies in bright colours for stimulation, or muted colours for relaxation? And does anyone have any recommendations? I had a bouncy chair for DS but I gave it away as it was far too flimsy for his sturdy little frame.
