DH took his car to Rizwan in the car clinic, never again. He gave him a list of things that needed fixing. He kept the car for 3 days. When we. Got the car back some things were not done ( switch to open boot not working ) because if was too difficult, and did not fix the AC issues . Never again plus the bill was high for the job he did . I now found another garage through recommendation in the same area. So far so good.

Salim Ali Bin Haider Garage in Um Ramool. The owner Mr. Rizwan is totally honest, explains everything to you, can arrange drop off or pick up, would not go anywhere else!

I've justposted this on a new thread as Isaw it on the side of the EW classifieds - they might be able to help. Personally, I liked their wording: http://www.gtautocentre.com/body_repair.html

Am really surprised you've had problems with A2B as I've always had positive results from them :( me too been using them for servicing our old landrover and tiny faults that have occurred on it and find them very reasonable and knowledgable

We have been using AAA for a few years now for servicing and repairs to both of our cars and have been happy with their work. We have always stressed that they must contact us with an estimate before they do any repairs and they do so. My DH has just taken a company vehicle there for repair as their quote was way below the main dealership one. The dealership said the vehicle needed a complete new engine, whereas AAA said it could be repaired. DH feels confident in the new manager, who is from Scotland and has been in the trade for twenty years. It is also nice to be able to explain the vehicle's problems to someone without having a language barrier. edited by amelia on 02/11/2011

a2b has cost me a fortune! They totally missed a problem with my radiator because they were lazy about it (despite my radiator making a ridiculous noise when the car engine was switch off!) and ended up costing me a fortune because I took their advise (twice!) and my radiator and AC needed replaced in the end. I know a few people who have had trouble with their laziness.

Thanks, I had heard AAA weren't too bad. The mini dealership here is AGMC who are just terrible to deal with! Plus that bumps up the price massively!

What about tryig th Mini dealer? I've usually had good experiences with AAA Garage in Al Quoz (round the corner from Max Garage) However since the last manager left it's gone a bit down hill. Can't really go wrong with replacing the window mechanism though.

I have had terrible experiences with putting my car in for repairs here, both at a2b and Max garage. I have a mini and need a window mechanism repaired, can anyone recommend anyone reasonable? Thank you!
