Hi all,

Have just moved up to Dubai from AD so I need to find a new, more convenient place to go horse riding. I can't commit to regular lessons at a set time and day every week as work tends to get in the way of planning, so would need some flexibility and private lessons.

Can anybody recommend anywhere? Is desert palm any good? Ideally I'd like to find somewhere fairly casual, but the type of place I am thinking of is always hard to find. Please help!

hi, they Run the stable along with the Dubai Falcon center/ Birds of prey show. http://birdsofprey-show-dubai.jimdo.com/ unfortunately nothing about riding is mentioned there, but its the same location. i would say 30 minutes from the Ranches and about the same from Media city. All depends on traffic in Dubai though. prices range from 180-220 aed for Adults and desert rides 300 aed. hope you find the suitable place you are looking for.

Thanks people! 300 for two hours desert hack sounds reasonable, I'll give them a call. I like the sound of the private lessons, Aliy. Does that place have a name/website? It all seems rather more formal at these horse riding places compared to Abu Dhabi. And pardon the stupid question, but is Mirdif far from DMC? More than 30 minutes? I have no real concept of where things are yet. Thanks all :)

Hey, My friend and I have been going to the polo club every week since the summer and doing their desert hacks. Its great if you just want to ride and cant commit to the time every week The horses are in great condition, are fit and treated well. The ride is 2 hours, quite fast They go everyday (usually no more than 8 on a ride) 7am - 9am or 4pm - 6pm 300 dirhams - (but if you find a friend and take an entertainer voucher its only 150aed) Hope that helps

Hi there, There is another place just 2 mins away from Mushrif park. most of their lessons are private unless you are a group of friends. they have European horses and the trainer is Hungarian. They also have professional horse footing and go desert rides. Lovely place for kids too.Trainers contact is 055 60 787 46 ( Csaba Marton).

My friends daughter began riding lessons recently at Nad al Sheba, I don't have contact details though but it might be worth investigating.
