I think the OP is talking about a new place in Khawaneej. I got a leader last week situ the newspaper. They spécialise in palms and exotic plants. They are not part of the plant souk but somewhere after the municipality vet clinic off khawaneej road
So just to get this straight...the old plant souq at Warsan has relocated to to nearer to DM? or is this a new garden market and the old one stays put in Warsan?
Went to the same place as DJBee for some water plants. Aquanature. Very helpful staff and owners are usually on site as well .They even offer you a cup of coffee and you can discuss your garden or plant requirements comfortably on a couch to make sure you dont end up with something unsuitable for your house/ garden or lifestyle (my thumbs are definitely far from green so I need all the help I can get).
Ended up with beautiful waterplants in pots.
They can be a little hard to find as they are tucked around the corner. A little path with UAE flags leads to them and they can be reached on 0506748515
Turn right off Emirates rd onto Hatta rd (going Dubai Sharjah direction)
Go past textile souk and Desert Palm.
Take right at first roundabout onto academic city rd
Continue down until you see (or smell!) the sewage plant treatment centre on your right, and turn left at the roundabout.
All garden places on your left.
Been there for years!
Any ideas where exactly this is, and has anybody been, need some new plants?
If you Google plant souk Dubai it will give you a link with directions on
You can also search the threads on here as this has been talked about before
I went out there last week. All the plant shops have relocated out there, past DragonMart and Desert Palm. Found a great Garden Centre selling beautiful orchids and specialising in water plants. The staff seemed very knowledgable and friendly. They are round the corner from the main strip of Garden Centres.
Isnt that the plant souk? It has been there for a while now ) :)
